Balaton Station was the third station on the SRN West Line for the Survival 3 world. The inspiration for the name came from the eponymous lake in Hungary and the festival that is held there every year.
The festival that takes place every year at Lake Balaton was the main inspiration for the station. It laid at the Eastern edge of an in land ocean biome, more or less a medium large lake. The lake was named 'Lake Balaton' after it's real life counterpart. The station was designed to look like a massive party tent and so it's two main building blocks are oak and wool.
The station was originally planned to be at the edge of the ocean that connects this part of the map to spawn. But that was only a 2 minute drive from Mall Station, which was very close to West Station as well. There for it was decided to go a little bit further West to place the station.
The station and it's line were completed in only a couple of weeks. The start on the line began early March and the station was opened April 7th of 2019.
Like every SRN Station, Balaton was also connected to the NTN. The station houses an enderchest, crafting table, map and a small dock from where players can launch their boats and sail onto Lake Balaton.
