As time went by the city, grew into large 1500 blocks long and 1200 block wide area. It featured large mountain ranges, a vast valley region, custom rivers, horse riding facilities, a large coastline and an expansive ocean area filled to the brim with underwater features, including a huge dragon skull. There were also temples, living trees, sanctuaries and lots of hidden areas throughout the region. The overall style of the city was determined to be "medieval Nordic". The city was connected to the Survival Railway Network and Nether Transport Network through Dragon Valley Station; which served Shorline Station. Plans were made to also connect to a smaller station; referred to as "Dragon Tree" that would provide a stop between the city and [[Home Tree]], although the closure of the world meant these plans were ultimately scrapped.

Dragon Valley was a settlement on the Survival 3 world of the Dogcraft Server, featuring a medieval-Nordic build style and a focus on role-playing and pranks. The city had an extensive lore written about it, with multiple "cults"; each having different styles and projects to work on. Founded as a personal base of 20.png Broga_ and 20.png wiki_1000 in the winter of 2018, the build quickly evolved into a huge server city project that became a major landmark on the world.

History

The project was formed way back in early winter 2018, what started as the personal base of Broga_ and wiki_1000 soon evolved into city of Dragon Valley, spurred on across December of 2018 by a series of pranks; each prank bringing a new theme that would be adopted into each of the different cults of the city.

The city was connected to the Survival Railway Network and Nether Transport Network through Dragon Valley Station; which served Shoreline Station. Plans were made to also connect to a smaller station; referred to as "Dragon Tree" that would provide a stop between the city and Home Tree, although the closure of the world meant these plans were ultimately scrapped.

Dragon Valley was well-known for its focus on pranks throughout the year and a half it was active. The listing of the events to large write, but notable mentions the epic sheep herd, drowned army attack, and sea tree take over. The mayors of dragon valley 20.png Broga_, 20.png wiki_1000 and 20.png _Skyhook all endorsed this behavior and in fact encouraged the players to do so, and simply have all the hi-jinks fun they wanted.

Role-play

Main article: Lore of Dragon Valley

A huge emphasis was placed on role play activities in Dragon Valley; with it being the secondary objective of the team leaders. Extensive plans were drafted for a major town event bringing the roleplay together, including lore which makes up some of the longest text produced about or on the server; the development of which lasted for most of the city's lifespan. Had it not been for the closure of Survival 3, it would have been ready to open to the general public by May 2020.

Despite the event never occuring, at the end of the world players were pleased with their accomplishments. Participants in the project had a choice of just building a home of your own or becoming part of cult. Cults (clan/cultures, or factions) were the main way the city was dived into its different sections. There were six cults and two organizations in Dragon Valley: Dragon Riders, Dolphin Swimmers, Tree walkers, Ram-storm, Hog-lords and the Nitwit Brotherhood. The two organizations were SUP and Ironati.

Cults

Dragon Riders

Dragon Riders is, commonly known as Drags. This cult believed that an entity known as Storm is the god of all things. They are on a constant search to find him. Players of this belief often had fun traveling and playing in PVP arenas. These players rarely interacted with other cults; believing themselves to be the chosen ones. The Dragon Riders were the least developed group, having no permenant cult leader, although for a brief period 20.png Trybrock served as the head of the cult. No HQ was built, although one was planned to be built within a terraforming project known as Dragon's Peak.

Dolphin-Swimmers

Dolphin-Swimmers, commonly also known as Swims. This cult believes that an entity known as "Akira" (their cult's god) is hiding in shame and they aim to bring her out of hiding. Looking for the lost Temple of Power is the cult's main objective was to bring even more wonders to the lands. Players of this belief often enjoyed the rivers and seas; tending to have fish as pets. The cult was friendly and members loved being on the sea and traveling to new places. Cult leader 20.png Ragecage295 had their HQ hidden in rivers of the town.

Tree Walkers

Tree Walkers, commonly known as Walkers were a cult who believed trees were the chosen light of the land. Walkers saw trees as the one true god of Life. Little is known about their powers. Ender trees are holy places and are often used as a place of ritual by all cults. Walkers have charged themselves as the keepers of the Ender trees. It is said to bring good luck when they see the tree’s eyes open. Only walkers seem to know when this event happens and are the type of player who relish in landscaping and are very peaceful. Cult leaders changed over time, first there was 20.png TiniestTea who was later succeeded by 20.png ThatRoger. Their HQ could be found inside the mother ender tree.

Ram-Storm

Ram-storm, commonly known as The Sheep’s were a playful Cult whose aim is to enrich the land's pranks, festivals and over fun adventures. Their altar of worship can be found in the basement of Broga_/wiki’s house. Little is known about these player’s habits or why they worship sheep.  Overall, they are just the friendly sort that greatly helps Dragon Valley in the best of ways. Maybe one day, the story of Ram-storm will come to light, as for now the cult keeps their secrets. Cult leaders, were 20.png MollusSlime and 20.png Hiulgrin, HQ was in Hidden Meadows

Hoglords

Hoglords, or Hogz as they were commonly called, are not what you would consider typically classy. Looked down upon by others as inferior beings, they are however a pillar of the Valley's economy due to their hard-working philosophy. Some of them have even become reputable by avoiding slavery thanks to under-the-table dealings. Cult leader 20.png SilverLurker's HQ was inside a custom-terraformed mountain, aptly named "Mount Hogz".

Nitwit Brotherhood

The Nitwit Brotherhood was led by 20.png wiki_1000 and were a secretive cult comprised of Survival 2 players who participated in projects related to Quasi's District.

Landmarks

Dragon Bay home to the Dolphin-swimmers, featured a massive dragon skull built by 20.png EtaThetaZeta. This bay also had a large dock built by 20.png Ragecage295 was led on the development of the docks and general area. Ragecage and 20.png _skyhook oversaw the development of the Dolphin swimmers' hidden temple. Many homes of the Dolphin swimmers also lay on the sea floor at the bottom of the bay.

South of the bay was the hilltops of the Nitwit Brotherhood; a small but dense village, with more secrets than you can imagine, hidden shrines, mazes and many more oddities.

If you headed west from there, you could have found rivers, large valley floor, what would have been the main areas of the city had it opened. In the middle of Dragon Valley stand the Mother Ender tree. Ender trees were a custom redstone-powered tree unique to the city; featuring different faces and depending on the time of day you could see some magic happen, like eyes opening them shoot things out of their mouths, to fireworks just because. Some of these trees kept dark secrets.

The southwest area of the valley stood Dragon’s Peak, one of the largest man mad mountain ranges, and at the time the largest one in the history of the Dogcraft Server. Within this mountain housed the cities' farms, and the SUP headquarters. The mountain was never finished, although it remained a grand sight to behold.

If you headed to north western region of the valley you could find a large wall built mostly by the Ram-Storm. This area housed the horse breeding center as well as some hidden meadows below ground, some ravines, and the Ram-Storm HQ..

Mount Hogz, home of the Hogz could be found in the northern mountain range. It was best known for its lovely paths, and in epic take on the dragon valley build style and featured a rather grand hidden cove.
