Contributing

This page contains things that need to get done on the wiki. The listed pages usually either need some editing or organising work done. They could help you get started editing, or provide a to-do list to existing editors.

Tracked pages

Each of these links points to a list of pages that needs some help. If you'd like to help out, this is a great place to get started!
Unlike all the other boxes on this page, the lists linked-to in this box are built-in to the wiki software. They can also be reached at Special:SpecialPages.

Special:Wanted pages: These are all the pages that don't exist, but have a link pointing to them. All the red links, in one place! Sometimes, they don't exist on purpose, but usually its either a page that has been deleted (in that case, the link should be deleted too) or a page that doesn't exist yet. If it doesn't exist, write it!
Something to keep in mind: this list is automatically generated by the wiki software, based on links. For a curated list of pages we'd like to have on the wiki, check out Dogcraft Wiki:Wanted pages, which is maintained by the wiki community.
Special:Uncategorised pages: These articles don't have a single category on them. Most articles should have at least one, possibly more! You can easily add categories using the VisualEditor ( Actions → Edit → Page Options (the hamburger button in the top-bar) → Categories) or by adding a link like this in the SourceEditor: [[Category:<Category name here>]].
Special:Dead-end pages: These articles don't contain links to any other pages in the wiki. Its quite rare that an article shouldn't link to at least one other article on the wiki. Better linking helps with navigation too!
Special:Orphaned pages: These are articles that are not linked to by any other article on the wiki. To help out here, update a different page to link to one of these articles. (It should be a page thats related to the orphan's topic somehow. If no such page exists, leave the page an orphan.) Just like with dead-ends, better linking helps navigation!
Special:Broken redirects: These are redirects that no longer point anywhere. They should either be fixed or removed. (In case of removal, remove the redirect and add the {{delete}} template to the page, an admin will come and delete it)
Special:Double redirects: These are redirects that point to another redirect. They should be updated to also point to the same place where the 2nd redirect is pointing.

Server information articles without a more specific category

These articles have a ServerInfo navbox, but don't have a more specific category, such as Server Features or Meta. They should likely either get one of those categories, or be updated with a navbox better matching their content.

Work-in-progress articles

Somebody is working on these article right now. Or was. If its been in this list for a while, somebody should probably check in on it.

Articles without Navboxes

Almost all articles should have a navbox. You can find existing navboxes at Category:Navboxes. If you can't find one that would work for that page, create one, or ask someone on the wiki discord to create it!

Pages with no primary categories

Primary categories include Category:Survival 6, Category:Survival 5, Category:Survival 4, Category:Survival 3, Category:Survival 2, Category:Survival 1, Category:Server Features, Category:Meta, Category:Site Content, Category:Groups, Category:Events, Category:Worlds, Category:Phenomenon, Category:List and Category:Browse. Also excluded are redirects and disambiguation pages. Primary categories are used for navigation and sorting of pages. Pages without a primary category are more difficult to find.

If you would like to contribute to the wiki, consider adding a primary category to one of these pages.
