The Spawn Port is the main HUB for water transport on Labrador and is located just north of spawn.

About

After finishing work on another port, XPModder went to spawn to locate the boat dispenser located there, as he wanted to plan a port opening for his port soon. The port was planned and built by XPModder, after he realized that the only place to get boats and start of travelling the ocean at Labrador spawn was a single boat dispenser on a tiny jetty.

Thus the idea for building a spawn port was born and discussed on the CSC discord. Soon after, XPModder began searching for a suitable location and finally planned the shape and design of the port. It was quickly decided that the port would follow the theme and block pallet of the other buildings at spawn. The chosen location further suggested a big jetty off of one side or corner of the main building.

Inspired by the other buildings at spawn (especially the main spawn building and the NTN tower), a octagon was chosen as the shape of the main building and the block pallet was narrowed down to the use of deepslate bricks and oxidized copper for the pillars, combined with black stained glass for the windows. Quartz was used for accents in form of horizontal stripes. The main jetty was constructed out of quartz with deepslate brick poles and the landing stage uses gray concrete and acacia planks for its wall and foundation. Quartz is again used for accents.

The roof of the main building was later changed to consist out of blue stained glass with the letters 'CSC' written in lime stained glass in the center, as this would make the port easily identifiable on maps and from high up in the air, whilst not changing the look from the ground.

Facilities

Walking into the port through the main entrance, visitors can walk straight into one of the rooms or go left or right in a corridor, that leads around the outside of the rooms and allows a view out of the large windows in every direction. Going straight and entering the first room, a large sign board can be seen on the wall directly opposite the entrance. The signs on this wall show the names and locations of all known ports on Labrador that are reachable from spawn. Underneath the sign board, crafting tables and other workbenches can be found. Multiple bunk beds line the wall next to the entrance. In two corners large hollow pillars are located, one of which contains a bubble-vator to the top floor and one contains a water source to be used as a drop chute to get down from the top floor. Apart from the main entrance the room also has 2 side entrances leading back to the circular corridor.

Walking along the circular corridor, visitor can find a map of the surrounding area on the sides 90° off the main entrance to the building. Next to these maps, two entrances into the two rooms on the ground floor are located. Continuing further along the circular corridor, the exit to the landing stage and jetty can be found and finally another entrance into the second room on the ground floor is located on the opposite side of the building from the main entrance.

The second room on the ground floor has three entrances, leading to the circular corridor, like the first room. Similarly, this room also contains one bubble-vator to the top floor and one drop chute from the top floor. On the large wall, chests are located for lodestone compasses leading to the other ports. In the center of the wall is a pillar, containing a lodestone and anvil to create new lodestone compasses, leading to this port. On the opposite wall, to the left and right of the entrance, chests for boat returns are located, which are directly connected to the boat-dispensers on the jetty via hoppers. Next to these chest, additional chests are located for the return of compasses leading to this port.

The top floor of the ports main building is deliberately left empty, as it allows a nice view in every direction and, due to the hight, above the nearby landscape out to sea or spawn. Above the building on the west side, the CRN's North line can be seen, as it transitions from the spawn bridge to the great viaduct.
