Tera (Tay-Rah) was a public city on the Survival 3 world of the Dogcraft server. It was founded in August by Ategon, a new player to the server.

Building

Tera followed a Steampunk-Medieval style with builds and had a palette consisting of spruce, dark oak, quartz, wool, grass and stone. The city featured a giant walled market area in the city center, an underground farm area, a giant built up southern portion of the city and a small northern mini-game section.

Most buildings in the city were built by Ategon with the help of 20.png DaGame. Other users could claim a plot for free by asking Ategon in-game or on discord. They could then use that plot to build something for the city such as a house, shop, etc. Additional plots could be purchased for 2000 Dogcraft Dollars each.

History

Tera started construction with the original intention of being a giant 5 district city that everyone could be a part of. The original 5 districts were steam (steampunk style), forest (medieval style), center (Utopian style), caverns (underground style) and industrial (industrial/modern style). This was later changed due to time constraints. The Steam district became the residential district, the Forest district was changed to a mini-game area, the Industrial district was redesignated as a farm area, and the Center district was made into a market. Additionally the Cavern district was closed off. You could still see the border between these planned zones with different tree types. The Industrial district was marked by birch trees, while Steam was marked by spruce trees. The other two districts were marked by oak trees.

Travelling

Players could visit Tera through the Portal in the Nether Transport Network or the Survival Railway Network. The Portal was 7k overworld blocks north and led to the center district with plans to change to Tera station.

The SRN station Tera station was being built. When fully built it would be connected to 2 smaller stations on the mainland residential district.

Notable Builds

  • A giant clocktower in the residential section of the city. This housed info on the city and plots, and had a donation chest for anyone wanting to donate resources to the city
  • Tera station, the home for any rails connecting to the city and the nether portal to the NTN.
  • The giant city Market
  • A giant boat connected to the dock in the residential district
  • A spleef arena in the minigames section of the city
