Tera

Template:Infobox Town TemplateTera (Tay-Rah) is a public city on the Survival 3 world of the Dogcraft server. It was founded in August by Ategon, a new player to the server.

Building

Tera follows a Steampunk-Medieval style with builds and has a palette consisting of spruce, dark oak, quartz, wool, grass and stone. The city features a giant walled market area in the city center, an underground farm area, a giant built up southern portion of the city and a small northern mini-game section.

Most buildings in the city are built by Ategon with the help of DaGame. Other users can claim a plot for free by asking Ategon in-game or on discord. They can then use that plot to build something for the city such as a house, shop, etc. Additional plots can be purchased for 2000 Dogcraft Dollars each.

History

Tera started construction with the original intention of being a giant 5 district city that everyone can be a part of. The original 5 districts were steam (steampunk style), forest (medieval style), center (Utopian style), caverns (underground style) and industrial (industrial/modern style). This was later changed due to lack of time with school starting up for Ategon. Steam was changed to the residential district, Forest was changed to the mini-game area, Industrial was changed to the farm area, center was changed to the market and the cavern district got closed off. You can still see the border between these planned zones with different tree types. Industrial is marked by birch trees, Steam is marked by spruce trees and center and forest is marked by oak trees.

Travelling

Players can visit Tera through the Portal in the Nether Transport Network or the Survival Railway Network. The Portal is 7k overworld blocks north and currently leads to the center district with plans to change to Tera station.

The SRN station Tera station is current being built and is expected to be complete soon. When fully built you will be able to take a minecart from the station to one of 2 smaller stations on the mainland residential district

Notable Builds

• A giant clocktower in the residential section of the city. This houses info on the city and plots, and has a donation chest for anyone wanting to donate resources to the city
• Tera station, the home for any rails connecting to the city and the nether portal to the NTN.
• The giant city Market
• A giant boat connected to the dock in the residential district
• A spleef arena in the minigames section of the city

Looking for a New Builder

Due to Ategons school he will not be able to come on the server very often during the rest of the school year. For this reason a new main builder is wanted to take over the project.
