Hub Station aims to connect all of the main Dogcraft Server transport options together into 1, easy to use space. It boasts all of the regular features of a normal SRN station, while also encompassing a NTN stop, and a RHN shelter too. Currently the shelter is not in use. The name of 'Hub Station' was intially only a working title, but it eventually stuck. Hub Station, also known as East 5, was the 5th station on the East line of Survival 4's Husky world on the Dogcraft Server. The station was built by  20.png Slomo_1994. The station was also featured on Dogcraft's Twitter Page here.

About

Hub Station aimed to connect all of the main Dogcraft Server transport options together into one easy-to-use space. It boasted all of the regular features of a normal SRN station, while also encompassing a NTN stop, and a RHN shelter too. The shelter never saw use. The name of 'Hub Station' was initially only a working title, but it eventually stuck. The inspiration for the RHN portion of the Station was from 20.png eybwam's Oxbow Station and its shelter.

History

The design for the exterior of the station was taken directly from a Premier Inn chain hotel in the East Devon town of Honiton. Many of the original features of the hotel remain, such as the restaurant and the top floor of the hotel, which can be accessed through a bubblevator on the platform. Most of the other features, including the platforms, map room, shelter, and RHN room were all designed by 20.png Slomo_1994.

In real Premier Inn hotels, coffee is usually provided by Costa Coffee, a well-known chain in the UK. However, this station was proud to serve Monty Coffee.

Features

This Station has 2 main-line platforms, one towards Marble Heights and another further East. It had two branchline connections. The station has an RHN room, with crafting table, ender chest and food etc., a stable, a map room, NTN connection, and beds in the hotel section.

Block Palette

The materials used in the construction of this station were meant to get as close to the original as possible. This meant some interesting combinations of blocks were used, but were utilized effectively for the station. The main components of the station were built out of bricks, acacia planks, and smooth stone, with small areas of stone bricks being used too. The exterior of the station was also landscaped with a few custom pine trees.
