Machair Station was the fifth station on the Beagle South Line of Survival 4. The station was designed and built by Montenator and opened to the public on the 15th of August 2021.
About The Station
Machair Station was designed to resemble a Tudor style building, sitting atop a mountainous island within a low-lying forest biome. The structure had a large archway through its foundations, under which a small stream flows from a pond, down a waterfall and into the lake below. The surrounding island was landscaped to resemble a typical machair found in real life. A machair is a low lying grassy plain found in parts of Scotland and Ireland. The sharp sides of the island were landscaped into cliffs, with dirt draping over them to the lake below.
The station itself featured a large room where all the line connections were. Mainline connections northwards towards Nova Station and southwards Cordelia Station are located opposite to each other; two branch line connections were in a smaller extension of the main atrium. In this atrium, users found a map of the surrounding area as well as SRN network maps for Beagle. Taking the main path on the island all the way down, you can find a small boat dock where you can sail off into the vast southern sea beyond the low-lying marshes of Machair Station.
A spiral staircase led the player up to a loft area, which was located directly above the main atrium. This loft had a large cut-out of the floor providing good views to the lower atrium. This loft also had all the other standard station facilities one would expect from an SRN Station. These included beds, ender chests and other functional blocks. A small room to the side of this loft area held the NTN connection. A balcony on the southern side of the station gave elytra users a good place to take off from.
