16 Bit Surviving Mars was the alternate base of Racram04 on the Survival 4 world of the Dogcraft Server.

About

This build in a wooded badlands was inspired by the popular video game "Surviving Mars" by Paradox Interactives. This base featured a lot of buildings replicated from the original game.

History

This build was started in April 2021. The first build was the foundation of the first dome. After that, progress was rapid. To avoid the hassle of terraforming the whole badlands biome, it was decided to make a boundary wall (which is the only thing that was not from the game) and terraform the inner region to a custom red sand biome to match the reddish surface of Mars.

Drone Hub: Commanded drones which perform maintenance.
Moisture Vaporator: Converted atmospheric water vapors to usable water.
MOXIE : Produced breathable oxygen from Mars's thin atmosphere.

Dome #1:

Living complex: Provided living space for colonists.
Open-Air Gym: Regular exercise was necessary for a healthy colony.
SpaceBar: Served drinks and provided comfort to colonists.
Hydroponics Farm: Produced food for colonists.
Grocer: Served meals to colonists.
Hanging Gardens: Dome spire provided a relaxation zone for the colonists.

Dome #2:

Research Lab: Colonists researched new technologies here.
Infirmary: Provided healthcare to colonists.
