Raid on Vernal Manor was a looting adventure and PvP combat event that took place at Vernal Manor on the Husky world of Survival 4. It took place on the 21st of March 2021 and was organised by Vernal Manor's creator and owner and Nitro Live champion ThEquinox2, with some setup help from colliecolie.
The event was streamed on the Dogcraft Youtube channel and later posted there as a recap video.
Event Overview
In this event, players were given 20 minutes to loot arranged chests in and around the grounds of Vernal Manor and build up combat gear from scratch. Starting on the outside, gear was modest, with higher level items found further within The Manor. Along the way, players would have opportunity to score points in a variety of ways, with the highest individual points scorers winning a share of 500,000 DCD.
In addition to the environmental threats of The Manor (a woodland mansion), the players were hunted in the latter 10 minutes of their run by the vex queen herself, ThEquinox2, fitted with diamond gear and some potions. If killed, she would reappear in The Manor after a three minute cooldown. Players were eliminated if they died, but kept the points they had earned.
Players participated in their raid in groups of seven or eight at a time. Co-operation was an available strategic option, but killing each other was not allowed.
Points Allocation
There were three ways of collecting points during the raid:
- 1 point - per ominous banner found in chests and barrels scattered around The Manor and it's outskirts. A bonus of 3 points was allocated per stack of 16 banners were found.
- 20 points - per kill on The Vex, ThEquinox2.
- Various points - given by artifacts that could be found throughout the containers around the map. Each artifact was an item with an accompanying book which had a unique effect on point total e.g. Dragonhide - your total points are equal to 10 times the square root of their original total.

Raids
Group 1
Group 1 acted as a team from the beginning. Illagers at the front of the mansion proved dangerous, so the group looted the lower-power outside area for a period of time. ChargedBluey was an early casualty, but not before finding a key artifact. A relatively unorganised attack on the mansion around the eight minute mark had moderate success, and The Vex had great success in keeping players running away instead of looting due to their mid-level gear.
Group 2
The second raiding group started with a much more individualistic mindset. Players made decent gearing progress and explored more of the mansion than Group 1 by the 10 minute mark, when The Vex came out. After a spree of kills, the remaining four survivors Montenator, TreeManForever Txp_, and wader_ banded together for safety in numbers at the 14 minute mark. However, it was short lived as The Vex picked them off one by one, with the others scattering each time. Only TreeManForever survived, about to loot the prestigious vault room when time ended.
Group 3
Group 3 was very aggressive, with most players entering and looting the mansion around the two minute mark. After controlling the Illager population successfully in The Manor, the group were ahead of their previous counterparts. As The Vex appeared, several players attempted to attack her. One trio, comprised of PhantomsLogic, Roody32, and Traynack almost killed her at the 13 minute marker. Ultimately though, their aggression did not pay off, Traynack being the final player to die at the 17 minute mark.
Group 4
With the benefit of going last, the final group made explicit plans for the raid. They resolved to leave only two players ( TekBot0507 & SirCasscade) to collect banners, boosting their chances of a win in which case they would split the winnings. Then, at the start of the raid, players would split into outside and inside The Manor raiding parties, staying together, with the larger portion focused on the mansion. The strategy appeared to work as the parties consolidated their loot at the eight minute mark. Despite having strong numbers and gear in a fight with The Vex, their lack of a PvP specialist showed and they could not kill her. After making a remarkable escape, using slow falling to jump off The Manor and evade The Vex, TRapZY_ was the eventual final player to succumb.
Winners
1st SirCasscade - 34 points (31 banners, 3 banner stack bonus)
2nd Traynack - 30 points (27 banners, 3 banner stack bonus)
3rd ChargedBluey - 23 points (8 banners, 15 artifact with: points = amount of arrows halved (up to 15)
