Two Lakes Station was the third station on the Shepherd East Line, on Survivial 5. It formed part of the SRN network.

About

The station aimed to reflect a rural area, with pleasant surroundings, a nice canal - oh, and a massive mining complex! The station was located within the bounds of the Leon claim, and may in the future form part of the Leon metro project. Currently, the station reflected its rural origins quite well! The station linked two small lakes together through a small canal, however, at the time of writing, the station did not have a CSC port. The station had a small set of stables, however, they were not connected to the rest of the RHN. The station had a NTN nether portal, but it was not connected (it led directly into a bastion).

The station contained all the classic SRN staples we all know and love (including a much desired log book!), as well as map of the area. This area included the station's original ticket booths, which were still in service today. Outside, the Leon Regencies' flag was represented on the Winding tower.

Outside were a few small boats, two from Leon, and a small canal boat, too.

History

The station was designed when 20.png Slomo_1994 and the Leon City planners realized that the journey from Kriwick to Leon would be too long for a single line, and that another station should be slotted in. Two Lakes was that station, and the idea spurred from a conversation while scouting, when one player noticed there was a mine in the area. Quickly, an idea started to form, with the plan being for a mining complex on a small natural barrier between the two lakes. The designer felt it would be nice to make more of the waterways accessible by boat, and so a small canal was designed (in lore, this was probably used for Leon patrol ships, and ships carrying cargo from the mine elsewhere).

The winding tower was inspired by the iconic Big Pit winding tower, at the museum of the same name near Pontypool, South Wales.

In terms of lore, more about Two Lakes and the entirety of the East Line can be found on this page.
