The Platform was a purpose built event area that doubled as a CSC Port. The Platform was built to act as the venue for the presentation of the CSC Awards Ceremony for the Connected Seas Competition, which took place a month prior. The area is located in a sea in the southwest of Akita, just south of the settlement of Flowercliffe and Moor Station on the SRN.

About The Port

Discussions between CSC Leads 20.png L1GHTN1NG_STR1KE and 20.png Montenator about a venue for the competition awards ceremony started taking place in Mid-March 2023. The aim was to host the ceremony at an existing CSC Port, but one that didn't enter into the competition and that hadn't hosted an event before. Flowercliffe Port was brought up as a potential venue, but since it was fairly simplistic, the idea was eventually dropped in favor of a purpose built area. The task to build this venue was taken up by L1GHTN1NG_STR1KE, but about a week before the event he would realize he would be unable to complete a venue in time. Montenator ended up agreeing to build a venue and due to the push for time, instead adapted an existing design for an old station concept for the Akita South Line, which was initially intended to be made into the second Akita South Line station before it was instead delegated and built by 20.png NeoFiore, becoming Electric Grove Station. Thus, built in a crunch time of a couple days, The Platform came to be.

During the awards ceremony, players initially gathered at Flowercliffe Port, with the plan being to all sail over to the nearby Platform, in theme with the network. Although it ended up being a tight squeeze, around 40 players fit atop The Platform to witness the CSC Awards Ceremony, and the whole event proved to be a great success.

Due to the nature of it being a purpose built event area, and being located in a large body of water, the port's location isn't exactly very beneficial as it doesn't serve a particular area. Nevertheless it is now an official part of the Akita CSC Network, and has compass connections leading to Flowercliffe Port and further on to Spawn and South Station. It is possible it could be a good rest stop in the future should the CSC Network expand further south.

The Platform in a basic structure consisting of a main deck supported by two large stilts. At the bottom of each of these stilts are dispensers and compasses for players to navigate through the rest of the CSC Network. Maps of the surrounding area are also displayed down here. Bubble-vators take players up through the stilts to the main deck. A small room contains ender chests and crafting tables, with an iron door that opens up to the main deck. The main deck itself is primarily aesthetic, consisting of a few rows of seating and some foliage. A temporary setup for prize boxes was made at the front for the event, but has since been removed. At the very back of the main deck, a small ladder takes the player on top of the amenity room for a better view on the smaller top deck.
