South Station would begin its construction during the first day of Survival 5, with a location being picked out by ''Montenator'' and the initial foundations being laid out. The design for the station was pre-built several months prior in anticipation for the release of Survival 5. The design built was meant to fit fairly well with most biomes, although the swamp chosen ended up being the ideal fit for the darker palette of the station. The station consists of three circular platforms, interlinked with open walkways. One of these platforms held both main line terminals, with a small staircase taking players down to a central courtyard where the [[Nether Transport Network|NTN]] portal is located.

South Station was a station on the Survival 5 Akita world of the Dogcraft Server. It was the first stop on the Akita South Line, that opened to the public on the 24th of April 2022 in a joint opening with MOTTO Station. This made both these stations the first to be opened on the Survival 5 SRN network. The station was designed and built by Akita South Line Manager, 20.png Montenator.

Construction

South Station began its construction during the first day of Survival 5, with a location being picked out by Montenator and the initial foundations being laid out. The design for the station was pre-built several months prior in anticipation for the release of Survival 5. The design built was meant to fit fairly well with most biomes, although the swamp chosen ended up being the ideal fit for the darker palette of the station. The station consisted of three circular platforms, interlinked with open walkways. One of these platforms held both main line terminals, with a small staircase taking players down to a central courtyard where the NTN portal was located.

Design

The station had three branch line terminals as well. One of which was built. This branch line took players from South Station towards the base of 20.png HatterSkye, before continuing onto 20.png Aero_M's town of Fenswick. After that, the line headed towards Montenator's personal base Lakeworks, before it looped back towards Highland Heights Station, built by 20.png ReddestKnight that was connected to Akita's East Station.

The main atrium of the station contained a sunken area where general station facilities were found, which included a lectern for documenting your visit. In the center of the atrium was a bubble-vator which took players up to the top of the station, providing good views of the area as well as a good elytra take-off point. A map of the surrounding area was also found in the central atrium.

Alongside the station there was a large PNG stable area for horses. There were various roads around the station that eventually connected the station up to various bases and towns around Akita. In May 2022, an extension to the station was built to house a port connection for the CSC. This involved creating a large sprawling walkway over the swamp, connecting to a sandbar which bordered the southern sea, that allowed for convenient connections to Spawn as well as connections further south to Upton or Flowercliffe.
