Olton Hall Station is the second CRN station on Labradors North Line. It is located about 3.8 thousand blocks north of spawn on a hill on the Labrador world of Survival 5. The station resembles a medieval castle hall, which inspired XPModder to name it after one of the Hall-class locomotives of the former UK railroad, Great Western Railway. As a fan of Harry Potter, he decided to name the station after the locomotive 'Olton Hall', which was used for filming the Hogwarts Express for the Harry Potter movies.

The station was designed to resemble a medieval castle hall, after inspiration from some image found online. The interior of the station was in large part inspired by a single screenshot from minecraft, found on reddit. While heavily inspired by this image and in parts very close to it, the interior was largely redesigned for its use as a rail station. The exterior of the station, meanwhile, was inspired by a number of images found online after searching for medieval castle builds.

During the design of the station, great care was taken, to make all areas and walkways that are visible from standing inside the station, actually accessible and completely by foot. To achieve this, stairs at either end of the station lead up to different walkways and the highest walkways allow access to the platforms on the towers on either end of the station, as well as the attic.

The station features six platform for rail lines to connect to. This number was chosen, as at the time of planning of the station, a ring line on Labrador was in discussion and this station would be part of the Ring Line. Therefore, apart from the two neccesary mainline connections, two further connections for the ring line would be needed and XPModder decided to add two additional platforms for potential branch lines.

The station's interior is divided into sections. A small section on each end of the station contains stairs to higher walkways and the Nether Portal, connecting the station to the NTN, as well as some ender chests and a log book. The rest of the station contains six sections, each serving as the platform for one of the rail lines. The very center of the station has a large map of the surrounding area on the floor. Each of the platforms contain some benches (beds), as well as signs indicating where this line led, who helped build the line, and welcoming arriving players to the station. A network map of the Labrador CRN is also located at each platform.

During construction of the station, Rocksol who had a large base nearby, approached XPModder and offered to build the tunnel connecting the station Nether Portal to the NTN, which was happily accepted by XPModder.

Olton Hall Station was the second CRN station on Labradors North Line. It was located about 3.8 thousand blocks north of spawn on a hill on the Labrador world of Survival 5. The station resembled a medieval castle hall, which inspired 20.png XPModder to name it after one of the Hall-class locomotives of the former UK railroad, Great Western Railway. As a fan of Harry Potter, he decided to name the station after the locomotive 'Olton Hall', which was used for filming the Hogwarts Express for the Harry Potter movies.

Design

The station was designed to resemble a medieval castle hall, after inspiration from some image found online. The interior of the station was in large part inspired by a single screenshot from Minecraft found on reddit.

To achieve this, stairs at either end of the station led up to different walkways and the highest walkways allowed access to the platforms on the towers on either end of the station, as well as the attic.

The station featured six platform for rail lines to connect to. This number was chosen, as at the time of planning of the station, a ring line on Labrador was in discussion and this station would be part of it. Therefore, apart from the two necessary mainline connections, two further connections for the ring line was needed and 20.png XPModder decided to add two additional platforms for potential branch lines.

The station's interior was divided into sections. A small section on each end of the station contained stairs to higher walkways and the Nether Portal which connected the station to the NTN, as well as some ender chests and a log book. The rest of the station contained six sections, each served as the platform for one of the rail lines. The very center of the station had a large map of the surrounding area on the floor. Each of the platforms contained some benches (beds), as well as signs that indicated where this line led, who helped build the line, and welcomed arriving players to the station. A network map of the Labrador CRN was also located at each platform.

During construction of the station, 20.png Rocksol who had a large base nearby, approached 20.png XPModder and offered to build the tunnel connecting the station Nether Portal to the NTN, which was happily accepted by 20.png XPModder.
