South Station (Akita) is a station on the Survival 5 world of the Dogcraft Server. It is the first stop on the Akita South Line, opening to the public on the 24th of April 2022 in a joint opening with MOTTO Station. This makes both these stations the first to be opened on the Survival 5 SRN network. The station was designed and built by Akita South Line Manager, Montenator.
About the Station
South Station would begin its construction during the first day of Survival 5, with a location being picked out by Montenator and the initial foundations being laid out. The design for the station was pre-built several months prior in anticipation for the release of Survival 5. The design built was meant to fit fairly well with most biomes, although the swamp chosen ended up being the ideal fit for the darker palette of the station. The station consists of three circular platforms, interlinked with open walkways. One of these platforms held both main line terminals, with a small staircase taking players down to a central courtyard where the NTN portal is located.
The station has 3 branch line terminals as well. One of which is currently being built. This branch line takes players from South Station towards the base of HatterSkye, before continuing onto Aero_M's town of Fenswick. After that the line will head towards Montenator's personal base Lakeworks, before looping back towards Airport Station, built by ReddestKnight and connecting with Akita's East Station.
The main atrium of the station contains a sunken area where general station facilities can be found, including a lectern for documenting your visit. In the center of the atrium is a bubble-vator which takes the player up to the top of the station, providing good views of the area as well as a good elytra take-off point. A map of the surrounding area can also be found in the central atrium.
Alongside the station there is a large PNG stable area for horses. There are various roads around the station that will eventually connect the station up to various bases and towns around Akita.
