The Dogcraft Build Team is compiled of a group of players, tasked with creating builds for the Dogcraft Server. These builds include server required builds, and any maps and hubs, etc for the server Minigames.

History

The Dogcraft Build Team was originally a group of players from the mod team, tasked with creating server farms. This then expanded with the addition of Survival 2, where a select group of community players formed a Build Team and were tasked with creating the spawn castle and surrounding grounds. This team was overseen by then head mods,  Ectobeast and  Navi_Heisten, and led by  Wildfirev. The Build Team discord was then founded on the first of July 2017, by  Rustbite, as a way to keep in touch with all the current projects better.

Other Projects then included the beautification of the survival 2 End island. This project, headed by  Quasi_1987 saw the end island become a mystical wonder, with giant trees surrounding the obsidian pillars (courtesy of  kimandjax) and giant mushrooms encasing the end return portals. The entire ground cover was changed to a podzol/dirt combo, in a never before seen makeover. The island was protected by world guard to prevent the dragon destroying blocks, as well as preventing player griefing. Players were only allowed to place/break blocks in a 1 wide ring around the obsidian pillars.

Leadership

The Build Team was Originally led by  WildfireV until she retired in August 2019, to be taken over by  OldmanLP85. He leads a team of Master Builders that oversee the construction of the builds. They are

The builders in the team are chosen from players on the server. The selection process includes an application to join the team, followed by an “interview”. Traditionally this was being able to build something, according to a theme, and following all the instructions. Recently, the build team have been hiring based on the build battle entrants.
