Pavilion Station was the sixth station on the Akita South Line on the Survival 5 world on the Dogcraft Server. The station was built by Akita South Line Manager 20.png Montenator and opened to the public in a line opening on the 26th of February 2023.

About The Station

Design work for the sixth south line station began a few days after the fifth south line station, Burrow Station, was opened. The working design was quite ambitious, with the working name for the station being known as Greysands Station. However, after a few weeks of on and off designing on the Sandbox world, Montenator was still not happy with how the station looked, and therefore decided to put the design on hold and work on a new, slightly safer design. This design was built up in a couple of days, and would eventually become Pavilion Station. The design takes inspiration from the Baxter Park Pavilion in Dundee, Scotland.

The station featured a very warm block palette, suited to its location in a savannah biome. This block palette was mainly comprised of wood and sandstone, with grey stained glass being used for many of the stations windows. The main station building was a relatively small, slender building, but contained all the necessary amenities a station needed, with two main line connections being located at either end of the building, and branch line connections dotted about in between. There were also water elevators that took players up the the rooftop, where more beds as well as trident take off points and a map of the area were found.

The front of the station featured a tiered seating area and flowerbed, followed by a lawn that the main path cut through, leading to the station's CSC port at the riverside, simply named Pavilion Port. At the back of the station was another garden area, with 2 symmetrical ponds at either side of the path, with small trees and flowers adding interest across the grassy area. The centerpiece of this garden was the structure that housed the NTN nether portal, which connected the station to the Akita South NTN Tunnel, via a custom nether tunnel that 20.png HatterSkye built.

The line connecting Burrow Station to Pavilion Station was the longest stretch on the Akita South Line, and passed through many biomes. It was predominantly built by Montenator but 20.png Elednor89 and 20.png FinnMcCoul helped placing rails to finish off the line.
