Mall Station was the second Survival Railway Network South Line station to be constructed on Survival 2, and the third station along South Line.
Design
The station was heavily inspired by the Dutch art movement called 'De Stijl', in particular by architects G. Rietveld and J.J.P. Oud, who were honored in the station with an armor stand. The station was built primarily out of concrete in black, white and primary colours, and featured a boat dispenser into the ocean. The railway lines leading up to the station also had been altered from the classic SRN design to fit the station. Similar concrete colours were used for these, and the usual spruce stairs were replaced by birch stairs.
History
The station was originally built by _edo during the construction of the Survival 2 Mall, who was specifically invited for this instead of the South Line Manager Marbou9, as _edo was also involved in construction of the Spawn Station (Spawn and Mall were both official server locations). Marbou9 did build the lines leading from Sunflower Station to Mall Station, and to Hennington Park from there.
The station's official opening was at the same time as the official opening of the Mall, on January 9 2018.
