Dunes Station was the second Survival Railway Network East Line station on Survival 2. Built atop a large hill in the desert, the station was small and open-air, having an iron trapdoor roof sitting atop acacia log pillars. The station was originally designed and built by then-line manager Aeghu, however it was never completed. When William278 was appointed as the new East Line Manager, he finished the build and the connection from East Station and Dunes Station was opened on the 5th of May, 2018.
In addition to the main two lines that depart from the station, two secondary line terminals were built, however never used. The station was also connected via NTN. Following the station's completion, the area around the station was developed into the town of Saharia. The station also neighbored Great Dune Bridge, one of the largest bridges on the network, which connected between Dunes and Solace Station.
