Main Article: Nether Transport Network
The SRN has always worked in tandem with the Nether Transport Network (NTN). The NTN focusses its efforts in the Nether by constructing tunnels and hubs in every cardinal direction to provide fast boats-on-ice travel to every corner of the worlds. At the founding of the SRN/NTN in 2016, the NTN was the responsibility of the SRN management to construct and maintain across the original Survival world as well as the Survival 2 and Survival 3 worlds. Survival 4 saw the introduction of an NTN-project lead to oversee the construction of the Networks on both Husky and Beagle worlds. Survival 5 saw an expansion with 4 NTN managers, one for each world.
History
Further reading: History of the Survival Railway Network (Survival 1)
The original Survival Railway Network on the Survival world was was the concept of _edo. Along with Mr_Dawgie, another prominent builder in the worlds' Spawn City at the time, he built Spawn Station and this served as the starting point for an expansive network that spanned the world. Shortly after the establishment of the new railway network, a companion project to the SRN known as the NTN, or Nether Transport Network, began to establish a communal means of rapid transit on the server through the use of boat-on-ice tracks in the Nether.
Since this early time, the organization has generally continued to grow in size and productivity. It is one of the earliest community projects and organisations, and is the longest running, to a point that it is now a significant and well-known feature in the overall Dogcraft community.
Networks
The SRN has constructed seven networks of railway and nether tunnel in all major Survival worlds (Sur1, Sur2, Sur3, Sur4 Husky, Sur4 Beagle, Sur 5 Akita & Sur 5 Shepherd.). The networks are widely considered by players to be one of the most impressive feats on the server and between them span many thousands of blocks.
Each SRN and NTN network has been structured cardinally; in a 'plus shape', with four lines expanding outward from a central station. From the stations, additional branch lines built by base owners carry players directly to player bases.
Management
The Survival Railway Network is currently led by conductor Montenator, with the help of various line managers. Each line manager is responsible for the construction and maintenance of their railway lines, NTN links, as well as taking on the duty of managing each station build.
Line Managers
The line manager role was formally established during Survival 2. Previous managers of Survival 1 are posthumously referred to below as 'general managers'. Below is a list of people who have held the role of Line-Manager, present and in the past. The former managers still serve in an advising role for the SRN and NTN. They are known as 'Consultants'.

Property Guidelines
Property, Claims and Permissions
- The SRN Lines and Stations are property of the SRN organisation. We give blanket permission to build up to and around the SRN, but for particularly large and dramatic builds, contact with us is desired.
- This permission doesn’t apply to non-SRN branch lines. For relevant permissions contact the branch line owner. The SRN is happy to assist in connecting with the right person.
- The SRN retains the right to remove dirt towers and other eyesores in the immediate proximity to the tracks.
- Alteration of SRN infrastructure without explicit SRN permission is griefing.
- SRN stations are treated like any regular build; the 100 block rule applies. Despite this, if contacted we usually give permission to build.
