Survival 6 is the sixth iteration of Survival Multiplayer worlds on the Dogcraft Server. It succeeds Survival 5 world, bringing with it the update to Minecraft 1.20.1: Trails & Tales. Launched on December 16, 2023, the season has two parallel worlds (a decrease of two from the previous season) — Sheltie and Retriever. Survival 6 saw the return of Streamtown and the implementation of the new minimum age (18+) rule for the Dogcraft Minecraft server. A complete reset accompanied the launch, including Dogcraft Dollars and claim blocks.

Announcement & Release

On the 1st of September, 2023, it was announced by Headmod 20.png Princess223 that the Dogcraft Server would be updating and that Survival 5 would soon be ending to make way for a Survival 6. Some details about the new world were revealed, such as the return of two worlds, and a change in rules, namely the new minimum age (18+) rule. It was also announced that Survival 6 would update to Minecraft 1.20. The announcement further contained details that the Nether would be open on day one while the End would remain closed for the start of the world, to be awoken at a later date.

Although initially announced for a release window between October 1 and October 15, it was later announced that the release of the world would be delayed. On December 3, 2023, it was officially confirmed that the two worlds would be called Sheltie and Retriever, and that the Survival 6 season would begin on December 16.

Transport

As with previous survival worlds, Player-run transport networks are once again to be a major part of the Survival 6 landscape.

Entrenched networks, such as the Survival Railway Network (SRN) and Nether Transport Network (NTN) will continue to play a major part in server infrastructure, while the Community Rail Network (CRN) was folded back into the SRN since the core reason for the formation of the CRN was to provide support across the remaining two worlds the SRN did not service on Survival 5.

The Road and Horse Network (RHN) absorbed the .Path Network Group (PNG) late within Survival 5. The RHN will service both new worlds since it proved in the previous season to be able to support two, and later three worlds with the merger with PNG.

The Connected Seas Coalition (CSC) will continue to see massive support and grow even further with fewer worlds and more people to be connected by the seas.

CDNN

The CDNN has returned for Survival 6. A massive Headquarters build was designed by 20.png eybwam and built in Retriever Spawn City where all monthly episodes are filmed.

Settlements

Similar to Survival 5, Survival 6 has a noticeable lack of player built cities with the only example of a major community built city of Survival 6 being the City of Tattington, spearheaded by 20.png AwesomeTom21 on the Retriever world.

In contrast to Survival 5 however, Survival 6 has seen much greater settlements form around both world Spawns, with Retriever Spawn City in particular growing to a very large size. This growth has been accelerated due to the large presence of road infrastructure in the area, organized mainly by RHN Leaders 20.png _Shako and 20.png TyrantrumGOD. Growth of the Spawn Towns was further encouraged by the return of the Battle of the Spawns event, hosted by 20.png Montenator and 20.png TigerNL, which 24 new builds constructed across both spawns as well as several non competition entries.
