Survival Railway Network (Survival 6) is a project on the Survival 6 world of the Dogcraft Server. It is the successor to the SRN projects on the 5 previous Dogcraft Survival worlds, with the continued aim of providing quality rail transport for the Dogcraft Server.

Network

The SRN is present of both of the new Survival 6 worlds, with 4 line managers operating on each. After enjoying success of Survival 5, the Ring line concept is also making a return on Survival 6. This season the philosophy behind the SRN is to try and minimize the amount of standalone stations, with the majority aiming to serve a specific area or purpose. The hope is to try and stimulate more player built branch lines too, with a full team and only two worlds this time around, there is a great opportunity to create the most expansive rail network thus far.

The goal for this season is to continue to work with the other 3 transport networks, the Nether Transport Network, the Road and Horse Network, and the Connected Seas Coalition. With each of these groups merging into the new Dogcraft Transport Discord, and there being several members of the Line Manager team that also work on other transport networks, the hope is that Survival 6 will provide a multitude of transport options for players, with many stations being equipped for easy transfers between networks.

Management

The SRN would see its largest shakeup in management going into Survival 6 that it has ever seen. Firstly, the new Dogcraft policy stating from Survival 6 onwards the minimum age limit to play would be 18, would result in both 20.png Slomo_1994 and 20.png Ze_Tais having to step back from their roles as Line Managers. Additionally, with the return to two worlds as opposed to 4, there was now a less convincing reason to keep two independent rail networks running on Survival 6. Talks had been in progress since summer 2023, between the SRN and the Community Rail Network, about a potential merger come Survival 6. After the announcement of two worlds, both parties agreed it would be best if the networks combined, with one large network hopefully getting more done and making it less confusing for new players to get involved in. The CRN would merge into the SRN under the Survival Railway Network banner, but ensuring that the CRN's ease of accessibility be a key goal for the new SRN going forward.

This merger would bring on 3 very prominent leaders of the CRN to fill out the vacant Line Manager positions for Survival 6. These being 20.png XPModder, the leader of the CRN on Labrador, 20.png H_Di_Chemici, the leader of the CRN on Corgi, and 20.png Minda905, who oversaw the construction of the Corgi West Line. 20.png expedtadam would continue on as SRN Conductor, with the other veteran Line Managers, 20.png darparniox, 20.png Skelleton123, 20.png Montenator and 20.png eybwam also returning for Survival 6.

On the 2nd of February 2024, Conductor 20.png expedtadam resigned in a meeting with the line managers present. 20.png Montenator was appointed to the vacant role and the change was announced and new conductorship taken effect of the 6th of February.
