Template:Key people templateThe Survival 2 Railway Network (SRN) is a network of railways across the Survival 2 world with the mission of providing high quality rail transport service by building four main lines in each cardinal direction and coordinating the connection of player 'secondary' lines to these main lines, while ensuring a scenic journey for travelers.[1]
Move to Survival 2
Following the release of Survival 2, the SRN shifted focus from the Survival world to create a new network for the world. Just prior to the release of the world, a Spawn Station was built in creative along with the rest of Spawn. Unlike on Survival 1, however, Spawn would not act as the Hub station, but rather a regular station on the North Line of the network. This was due to a lack of space in the area and it was later decided to build Grand Central Station in the City of Havana[2].
Network
Reach
The SRN (pictured to the right in blue) has expanded to a large number of destinations since it's launch, including Akkara City, the Kingdom of Solace, Quasi's District, Wanigoora as well as many players' personal bases through secondary lines.
Structure
The network expands from stations located in the four cardinal directions. This allows the rails to be expanded as required to connect as many destinations as possible.
From the official SRN stations in the cardinal directions, secondary lines can then be built by base owners to accommodate for their specific bases' design.[1]
Headquarters
The Survival 2 Railway Network is headquartered in the City of Havana, in a building adjacent to Grand Central Station[3]. The building contains offices for the Line Managers and Conductor, information about the project as well as a resource center, used to store the materials used to build the Main Lines.
Secondary Line Offices
In addition to the main build, an adjacent connecting Secondary Line Office building provides space for offices and information about Secondary Lines that connect off the main stations.
Map
The SRN operates an official map, updated on a per-monthly basis. The map is based on a background from the Great Survival Map project and is used for reference in the network.
