Gleadraíoch is the base of herqc on the Survival 5 world of the Dogcraft Server. Built on Labrador, with construction beginning in early 2023, it is one of the most iconic landmarks in the north of Labrador.
About The Base
Gleadraíoch takes the form of a giant Moai head, from the island of Rapa Nui in Polynesia. It is one of the largest single structures on Labrador, and was built by hand by herqc over a period of around a month from February to March 2023. The base is located in the same mountain biome as Rocksol's base and Sgeul, coopm014's base. Also located nearby is Olton Hall Station, the second station on the Labrador North Line, built by XPModder.
The Moai head is encircled by a moat, at the front of the base, a small cobbled bridge takes the player over the moat and into a small entranceway at the base of the head. This opens out into a large interior lake, with the cavernous ceiling towering almost 100 blocks above, being draped in glowberries and other foliage. The main point of interest on the inside is a giant galleon docked within the lake.
Remarkably, this giant cavern only takes up around half the space inside the Moai head, with the upper portion being largely empty, populated by a few functional crop farms and a villager trading hall. The exterior of the base is decorated by some small trees made out of mangrove roots, and a smaller Moai head is perched upon a cliffside at the back of the main head.
