Rules

This page states and explains the rules of the Dogcraft Minecraft Server, the Dogcraft Cybernation website and the Dogcraft Cybernation Discord server. The official rules and explanations can also be found on the official Dogcraft website. This page is not official, and merely provides an explanation to the rules.

Minecraft Server Rules

Official extensive explanations of these rules can also be found here, under the heading 'Server Rules'. Failure to follow these rules may result in an official warning or ban, depending on the rule. Three accumulated warnings result in an automatic ban. Bans can be appealed by private-messaging a Headmod on Discord.

1. No griefing or stealing from unclaimed chests.
   • Griefing is altering someone's builds without permission, both with good or bad intentions.
   • The rule also applies for unclaimed builds or chests.
   • Removal of obsidian pillars on the main End island is allowed, if the player immediately respawns and kills the dragon afterwards.
   • Breaking bedrock and/or building on the roof of the Nether is not allowed
   • Failure to follow this rule may result in a permanent ban.
2. No spamming, cursing, trolling/flaming, or full caps messages.
   • Spamming means filling chat with meaningless text, abusing caps lock, or repeating the same text over and over again.
   • Cursing or swearing is not allowed, including replacing part of it with other characters such as ***, or abbreviations or the swearing.
   • To avoid accidental spam, avoid using the same letter or character more than 3 times in a row.
3. Claim your land with a golden shovel.
   • While griefing unclaimed builds is not allowed, players are responsible for claiming their own builds with a golden shovel. Theft of unclaimed items may not be reimbursed.

4. No racist, pornographic, drugs, political, sexual or religious talk in public chat.
   • No discussions about these topics whatsoever. The rule also applies for signs, skins and player names.
5. Respect all players.
   • Treat all players with equal respect. This includes harassing players in private messages, if someone does not want to talk to you, respect their decision.
6. No use of mods or clients that give you an advantage over others.
   • Flying mods, xray mods and other modifications are not allowed, as well as altered clients.
   • The only exceptions to this rule are Optifine and shaders. Any question asking if other mods are allowed, will be answered with 'no'.
   • Failure to follow this rule may result in a permanent ban.
7. Respect and follow any directions give to you by staff, or any decisions made by staff. Answer when asked a question.
   • Always listen to staff and respond to their questions. They can be recognized by their respective colored rank.
   • If you have an issue with a certain staff member, don't react by complaining in chat, but contact a higher ranking staff member.
8. No asking mods for free items, or to abuse their power.
   • Do not ask any staff member for free items, teleports or anything of the sort.
   • Staff members play in survival mode like everyone else, and do not have access to free items. For trading items, use the Mall.
9. Cheating the AFK kicker is not allowed.
   • This includes using AFK pools/carts, rejoin scripts, auto clickers, or anything else that automatically performs an in-game action for you.
10. You are responsible for your own account.
    • You are responsible for everything done by your account name on the server. If someone else uses or steals your account, you are responsible yourself. See also rule 26.
11. Only fight and/or kill other PVP players.
    • PVP mode can be toggled with /pvp. If you do not wish to engage in PVP, turn it off. If other player do not wish to engage in PVP, respect their decision.
12. Build respectfully.
    • Build and mine at a respectful distance from other players. The rule of thumb for this is 100 blocks, but 200 blocks is advised to have room for expansions.
    • Do not build offensive, obscene or otherwise inappropriate structures. Do not fill areas of your base with an amount of animals that induces massive lag. Do not build large towers within 1500 blocks of Spawn that exist only for launching yourself with an elytra.
13. Advertising of shops is not allowed in public chat.
    • Do not advertise your shop or items in public chat. This includes elytra sales.
    • You may only discuss sales when specifically asked about them by a potential buyer.
14. No building of pigmen or endermen farms. No creation of public farms. No elytra launchers.
    • The server provides these farms for you. Creating more of them is not allowed.
    • Elytra launchers that use entity cramming or produce lag in another way, are not allowed. Simply using cobwebs is allowed.
15. You consent to being 13 years of age or older.
    • You are required to be at least 13 years old to play on the server.
    • If a moderator asks about your date of birth, you are required to respond. Repeated failure to do so may result in a ban.
16. No backseat moderating or mini-modding.
    • Moderators are capable enough to handle situations and answer questions. Please don't interfere with this. Don't call out players in public chat for breaking rules.
    • If you see someone break a rule, message a moderator. If no staff members are online, use /ticket to report the player and save a screenshot of the situation.
17. The server will not reimburse items or in-game currency lost in crashes, rollbacks, glitches or due to lag.
    • All public servers are vulnerable to crashing/lag, and it can happen to any player.
    • If only the website is down, no shops will work, and Quests will not pay out in-game currency. DCD's will not work in any way, since they are linked to the website.
18. Only use the /ticket command for legitimate reasons.
    • /ticket will alert moderators of an issue you encounter. Abusing this function in any way is not allowed.
19. No mob farms allowed within 1000 blocks of spawn.
    • This rule is in place to ensure that the spawn area and its surroundings are free of lag, and look pleasant.
20. Do not spam 'lag' in chat, or variations on the word.
    • The word itself is not banned, but the overuse or spamming of it is. See also rule 2.
    • Lag is often client-side, due to bad computer performance. When this is not the case, and everyone on the server suffers from lag, there is no need for players to announce this, since everyone already knows.
21. Only English is allowed in public chat and on public signs.
    • Other languages may only be spoken in private messages or on signs in private claimed areas. Rule 2 and 5 apply in all languages.
22. Use public areas thoughtfully. Replant crops, trees, and anything else you may have used.
    • When using public farms provided by the server, replant what you harvested. Don't loot pigmen/endermen farms if you didn't spend time there yourself. When multiple people want to use public farms at once, play nice and share, or take turns.
    • Large violations of this rule may result in an official warning.
23. Exploiting of Minecraft bugs that provide an unfair advantage to a player is not allowed.
    • Usage of item duplication and other bugs like this is bannable. This includes bugs that add items, or changes their properties.
24. Please refrain from asking where Rendog is, when he comes online, or subjects related to these.
    • While not often, Rendog does occasionally play, stream and/or record on the server. Staff members are not Rendog, and thus don't always know when this will be.
    • When Rendog is online, be respectful, and do not spam him with messages, or crowd him on the server. When Rendog requests you to not participate in an event and watch the stream at the same time, follow this request. Violation of this rule may result in a kick or warning.
25. Do not clutter spawn with shops, signs or elytra towers.
    • Some chest shops may be provided by the server (golden shovels, golden hoes). Do not make your own in Spawn.
26. Only one Minecraft account per player, and one player per Minecraft account is allowed on the server.
    • You may not use alternative accounts or run multiple accounts at the same time on the server.
    • You may not share your account with others, staff won't be able to know who's playing. See also rule 10.
    • Violation of this rule may result in a ban of the alternative account. Creating an alternative account to bypass a ban will result in another ban.
27. Elytras can only be traded for a minimum of 200 diamonds.
    • This rule is in place to ensure that elytras remain an end-game item.
    • This amount is a minimum. Trading for more is allowed.
    • This rule may not be circumvented by selling for DCD, or by selling a player diamonds only to receive them back afterwards.
28. End warp cards can not be gifted or traded.
    • End warp cards give a player access to the endermen farm, and may not be gifted or traded.
29. All server rules are subject to change. Please contact staff for any clarifications or questions, we will be more than willing to help. These rules exist to provide and maintain a pleasant Minecraft experience and to ensure the sustainability of the server.

Website Rules

1. No swearing or excessively foul language.
2. Absolutely no discussions about porn, sex, violence, racism, politics, drugs, alcohol or religion. This includes innuendos, references to and graphic descriptions of anything previously stated.
3. No spamming or trolling (More information about spamming can be found under Help -> FAQ - > What is considered spam) - This rule includes any condescending or derogatory remarks, please refrain from such things.
4. No abusing or harassing other users - This rule includes bugging other users with whispers (Private messages). If someone doesn't want to talk to you, please respect their decision.
5. No uploading of explicit, violent or disturbing content.
6. No capslock abuse - Only Moderators may use capslock to issue warnings.
7. No abuse of fonts, font sizes, colours, chat tools or line breaks.
8. Do not create multiple accounts. Do not share your account with others. Users are solely responsible for their own accounts.
9. Respect the Moderators. Do not argue with any Moderator. When you're told to stop discussing something, do so.
10. Decisions made by Moderators are final.
11. No backseat Moderating.
12. Do not give out your personal information to other members, (i.e your age, real name, or your location like home town), as this can be used in a negative way. If a Moderator asks your age, answer them truthfully.
13. No pro-piracy discussions of any kind are permitted. The distribution of pirated software or links to pirated software on our website will result in an immediate ban.
14. If any user joins chat whilst drunk, they will be kicked from chat. We don't want you abusing the rules whilst intoxicated. This rule includes Moderators who are drunk.
    • This rule also includes being under the influence of heavy medication.
15. Please only use English on the public parts of the site, using another language is only allowed in private messages.
16. No "necroing". Necroing is when someone replies to a post that has already been answered or had "died" a long time ago.
17. Advertising accounts are not acceptable on our website. All advertising accounts will be banned.
18. Please refrain from asking about when the next Rendog livestream will be or when the next video is coming out. Stream announcements will be posted on Twitter.
19. No copying and pasting of large amounts of text from other websites, this will be seen as DogCraft Dollar (DCD) farming and is not allowed.

Cyberdog Nation Discord Rules

The full list of rules for the Discord server can be found in the #rules channel. The rules are identical to those of the website, with addition of the following:

18. Talking on the #serverchat channel while being online on the server is not allowed.

19. Do not use #serverchat to circumvent a mute/tempban/ban. This is punishable by warning and retracting server Discord rights.

20. No sharing of links that do not involve Dogcraft. This includes other game codes, links to game sites, and other discord servers. If you have questions if anything you are about to do falls under this rule, ask a mod.
