Loch Coire is a base of Lord_Arkey on the Survival 6 world of Retriever of the Dogcraft Server.
About
Loch Coire is the very first base of Lord_Arkey, made after he joined the Dogcraft Server. The base is situated in the north-west parts of the Retriever, right next to the base of Frosthold.
Originally, the base was beeing build in a more of farming-rustic style, but has since evolved more and more into the medieval/dwarvish style (following the established lore for the base). Planned zones for the base include a terrace farmyards, marketplace and high society district surrounding a manually terraformed lake.
History
Founded in 03/2024, after a long search on the map to avoid other settlements, Lord_Arkey build his starter tent at the beginning of the valley, that will become the settlement of Loch Coire. During the following two months, excessive terraforming projects were made to create terrace farms, several farm buildings including a water-wheel mill and barnyard and irrigation system. With expectations of visitors, an inn was build at the side of the farmyards, with a /phome attached.
By the 09/2024 an SRN station was build - the build took shape of a medium-sized dragon skeleton with cloth coverings in-between its ribs and small inn in the cave nearby. This station was planned to be on a branchline spanning between the City of Tattington and Forgeholm.
During the winter of 2024 the Loch itself was being build - this comprised of deforestation, stripping of all dirt blocks, digging up the lakebed and manually creating the lake with the use of ice blocks.
April 2024 saw the official opening of the SRN station to the public, with the connector to the racetrack of Frosthold to the east.
