Birch Copse Farm lies on a small island between Akita spawn and Motto station. It was designed around the concept of ethical automation. All the farms in the base are designed to allow peaceful mobs as much free range as possible whilst maintaining production rates. Where possible crops are grown in farms designed to be incorporated into their surroundings. Water streams throughout the island take crops to an underground storage beneath the barn. An addition to the end of the sorting system converts excess compostable items into bonemeal.

Birch Copse Farm is the base of Madster_Rabbitt on the Survival 5 world of the Dogcraft Server.

About

Birch Copse Farm lies on a small island between Akita spawn and Motto station. It was designed around the concept of ethical automation. All the farms in the base are designed to allow peaceful mobs as much free range as possible whilst maintaining production rates. Where possible crops are grown in farms designed to be incorporated into their surroundings. Water streams throughout the island take crops to an underground storage beneath the barn. An addition to the end of the sorting system converts excess compostable items into bonemeal.

Tying into this theme the build style tries to meld traditional with industrial. It incorporates a lot of acacia wood from the nearby Savannah. One of the key pieces of architecture on the island is the villager district, containing one of each villager type (including a nitwit).

History

Birch copse farm was established at the very start of Survival 5. At the time no infrastructure existed so the island was reached purely via swimming. The first build to be created was the tree house perched between two custom birch trees. This was based on the real life steampunk treehouse in Redmond, Washington.
