Rougemount Station is the second station of the Retriever South Line and a station on the Retriever Ring Line. The station was designed and built by 20.png Montenator, taking inspiration from Ooidonk Castle in East Flanders, Belgium. Additional help building the station was given by 20.png Edhellan and 20.png SummerFlower1234. The station opened on the 4th of May, in a joint opening with another Retriever Ring Line Station at 20.png _Maddy_monster_ and 20.png tijnybricks base Red King's Rest.

About The Station

The station was built from February 2024 up until May 2024. It features integration with all 4 transport networks, with extensive room for platforms. The front facade of the station consists of two cylindrical towers surrounding a rectangular central tower. The east station contains an extended wing, with a small public space as well as a private eastern tower where resources for building the station were kept.

The main portion of the station building contains 3 levels and various winding passageways. A connecting wing is the main entry to the platform area, and boasts an NTN portal as well as a step down to the RHN Shelter in the ground floor of the east tower. This room also contains a map of the surrounding area. The upper landing of this space is decorated with map arts from members o0f the community, and contains a service entrance to the rest of the eastern tower.

The main towers contain a cartography room, which spans over two floors and displays maps of other SRN station of Sheltie and Retriever. The second tower contains a Monty Coffee branch which also spans over two floors. Both towers are joined by a small room through the central tower which contains lots of mementos from server events and access to the top of the tower for an elytra take off point.

The main platform area contains general station amenities and 6 rail terminals. Two of which are currently used. Network maps are also displayed here as well as timetable boards indicating journey times between many other SRN Stations from Rougemount. A staircase out the back of the station leads down a cliffside to a small alcove where a CSC Port can be found, which contains boat chests and compass chests. Two small beacons mark the entrance to the port outside the main river passing through the area.

The station area is surrounded by a garden area in the front, featuring trees and flower gardens, on the east side of the station, a small outdoor seating area can be found near the RHN Stable area, with a small path connecting the outdoor RHN area to the main platform area around the side. Many custom trees fill the rest of the area to the back and sides of the station.

Along the line between Golden Station and Rougemount Station, a large custom bridge designed by Montenator crosses a large river gorge. The design of this bridge was influenced by the Cargill Viaduct and Craigellachie Bridge in Scotland. 20.png H_Di_Chemici and Edhellan would help transferring this bridge to Survival.
