Lilyrose Valley is the main base of Minda905 on the Survival 5 world Corgi of the Dogcraft Server.
Building and development history
After having acquired an Elytra during the end-openings of Survival 5, Minda took off to the skies from her starterbase, Foresthill Farm, with two goals - to map Corgi, and to find a new suitable spot for her main base.
One day nearing the end of April of 2022 she finally happened upon a river by a forested valley, surrounded by high snow-capped mountains where she decided to settle.

Following completion of mapping the area, construction of the magical whisp trail started. The trail was to surround the entire considered area of the base and “protect it from sources of evil” according to pre-written lore by Minda.

The first build to be raised was the Fairyden, a grand fantasy-styled and whimsical house to serve as Minda’s home and main storage. Completed with the additions of a mailbox, doorbell, and some terraforming, the Fairyden stood finished in the end of May 2022.
A chunk of terraforming was done over the summer, with the aim of shifting the river into the valley. However, Minda was dissatisfied with the results and changed it several times, finally reverting to the “original” riverbend with additions of some cliffs and overhangs made with help from Ze_Tais in September of 2022.
During the summer Minda also worked on the NTN HQ Station, for which she needed four vanilla skeleton skulls as decorations – a need which sparked the creation of the Birdcage mobfarm. Connected to the farm is a complex setup of rails and redstone to cart mobs around, charging creepers and collecting their heads.

During the months that had passed, Minda had invited some friends to become her neighbours - TrainerMoon claimed an area east of the valley, while PerskyPuff (Volkamenia) settled to the north on the coast, and SummerFlower1234 (Summer’s Hill) settled between them. Their collective area was subsequently named The Region of Meadow Hills.
In August Minda built the Runestone portal on the hill behind the Fairyden, to serve as a portal for both her and Persky. They also decided that the village between them was to become a collective project and named it The Village of Helian.
At this time the CRN (Community Rail Network - a a branch off from the SRN set on Corgi and Labrador) started to gain some interest on the servers. Minda decided to get more engaged in this project, built up the Meadow Hills Station and started to plan the west line of Corgi.
Entering September, a big chunk of progress was made – the whisp trail was wrapped around the entire valley. Paths, bridges, and tunnels that connected the Meadow Hills Station to the Runestone portal, Fairyden and Volkamenia was laid out, and the previously mentioned terraforming around the riverbend was finished with help from Ze_Tais.
Space was also made for Grandmother Root (the oldest being and keeper of the valley’s history according to Minda’s lore) to sit by the end of the river – directly inspired by the character Grandmother Willow in Disney’s Pocahontas (1995).
On September 10th, 2022, Minda gave Renthedog a tour of her base as one of the six winners of the base build competition announced in the previous month. It’s to be featured in a video on his YouTube-channel as promotion for the Dogcraft server (not yet released at the time of writing).
Style and block palette
Before Survival 5 began Minda had already made some plans for her new base. She wanted to stick to a more coherent style than previously, with a set block palette and theme. By combining some of her favourite elements of builds she’d made back in Survival 4, the theme and style finally landed on “Organic Fairy Fantasy”, as she was seeking to get away from “ordinary” rigidness, perfection, and symmetry, and to also further develop her building skills.
Shapes of organic kind – like mushrooms, leaves, curves, and curls – are prevalent throughout the buildings, inspired by so called “fairy houses”, showcasing a lot of bulbous shapes and non-symmetry. The exterior walls exhibit gradients spanning from greys to whites, and the roofs are overgrown with moss and dirt, red flowers, and greenery. All trimmed with details of spruce.
Many builds and structures are also infused by inspiration taken from Nordic folk tales and elements from various Disney-classics, to create a magic and immersion contributing to building up the base’s history and lore.
