Cordelia Station is the sixth station on the Beagle South Line in Survival 4. It was built by Montenator and N1cM4tth3w63. The station opened to the public on the 21st of November 2021 and is currently the terminal destination of the Beagle South Line.
About The Station
Initial concept designs for Cordelia began whilst the fifth station on the Beagle South Line, Machair, was being built in survival. Initially the idea of a submarine was proposed by N1cM4tth3w63, stating that it would fit in well with the other ocean themed stations, such as Tidal and Hibernia. Montenator then decided it might be fitting to make it a yellow submarine, relating to the commonly used colour to represent the South Line and as a reference to the famous Beatles song 'Yellow Submarine'.
The build process was a joint effort from Montenator and N1cM4tth3w63, with N1c designing the submarine and cranes, whilst Montenator designed the towers, pontoons and the interiors to the station. Cordelia Station is very long and narrow, and can be split up into two distinct sections, the submarine section and the tower section.
The submarine section houses the station terminals, with terminals leading northwards to Machair Station, and southwards to a future South 7 Station, with two branch line terminals as well. This area also houses the network maps as well as a station log book, an idea inspired by RHN Shelters on Husky. A large map of the vast ocean surrounding of Cordelia can be found at the central room of the submarine. Climbing the stairs to the top of the submarine, a dedicated trident launch point as well as a utility room can be found, housing all station essentials such as ender chests, anvils and crafting tables.
The tower section is where the bulk of the beds are located, with the central walkway being lined with them at either side. The fair tower has the stations NTN portal as well as two boat dispensers that allow players to launch out of the tower to explore the vast ocean surrounding Cordelia Station. The station is also decorated with pontoons at either side of the station, they are mainly aesthetic, but serve as the easiest way for players to travel between both parts of the station.
Branch-Line Connections
The station has space for 2 branch-line connections. One has yet to be used and One connects to the base of CaveCreeper1024.
