Tracy Island is the base of Slomo_1994 on the Survival 4 Husky world of the Dogcraft Server.
About
Loosly based on the 1960s British Supermarionation TV series Thunderbirds (created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson), Slomo_1994's Tracy Island base is an encapsulation of the 1960s Sci-fi asthetic, with a blend of verisimilitude and Minecraft-stlye elements thrown in. It's essentially three bases:
- An island retreat
- A functional Minecraft base
- A loveletter to the shows of Gerry Anderson
At present, the base contains:
- A storage room with additional shulker unloader
- A small villager trading hall
- A cactus farm
- Pig, cow and wool farms
- A smeltery
- A kelp farm
- A brewery
- A wheat/beetroot farm
- A villager-powered carrot/potato farm
- A flower farm
- A sugarcane farm
Additionally, the base also incudes the following, decorative/admin features:
- A villa (explained below)
- Momento room, encompassing many memories of past Dogcraft events
- 2 further guest bedrooms
- A labrynth of tunnels, stairs and lifts
- A retracting pool
History
The base is Slomo_1994's second on the Dogcraft server, the first being his Beagle starter base, Port Slomo (for reference, it can be found on the PNG's East Road, just outside Alina). It was started in November 2020, about the time that San Pyros, (the settlement on the coast neighboring Tracy Island) was established. The first area to be established was the guest bedroom above the runway, which served as a temporary storage area when the main base and full storage area was being developed. The construction continued with the Roundhouse structure, and from there the main villa, and the surrounding terraforming was assembled.
The expansion of the base would come with the advent of a private rail connection between San Pyros, Tracy Island and the base of Splittingadams. Along with this would come a new tree farm, sugarcane farm, flower farm, garbage disposal chute, and when 1.17 released, a further Axolotl tank.
The base has never been completed fully, owing to the lack of underwater terraforming around the main island.
The Villa
The Villa is one of the many exterior features of the base, and is the most screen-accurate part of the base. It contains a living room on the Ground floor, a dining room and kitchen in the basement, as well as entry to the roundhouse guest bedroom. On the first floor, there is a master bedroom, as well as an additional 3rd guest bedroom. There are many verandas dotted around the base, as well as a retracting pool in front of the villa.
