{{anchor|4}}#5 –Lag Prevention.

*AFK guidelines:

Iron Farms:

**If it is an AFK-style farm, the AFK spot must be reachable without elytra, and contain a bed. The spot should be 110 blocks above the lowest point of the farm. If you are unsure, use the MiniHUD mod or ask for help from someone who knows how to use it to create a despawn sphere so that an ideal AFK spot can be marked.
*You may only have a total of 6 iron farm platforms/cells per base, defined as 3 villagers capable of spawning iron golems.
**The AFK location should also be protected from mobs ''(including phantoms-turned off in S5)''.

Pigman Farms:

**When AFK, please make every effort to prevent the build up of drops/returns. ''(This means including overflow prevention.)''
*Pigman farms cannot be larger than a 25x25 square with a max of 2 spawning platforms.
*Community Areas:

Wither Farms:

**Keep possible server lag in mind when constructing the farm. ''(If there is a question about lag, please review the design with a moderator.)''
* You are not allowed to use withers in farms unless it is for wither roses. You must kill the wither immediately after.
**Farms, trading halls, and major redstone projects should not be placed in or around public/common areas or their portals. The distance required from any public/common area is defined as: The chunks containing the public/common area, should not be loaded by the same player when they are in their farm/trading hall/redstone project area.

Villagers:

**If the farm requires ''(or be optimized with)'' a certain tool/weapon, then the tool/weapon must be provided. Ideally, the tool/weapon would be named in a way that the user will be reminded to return it.
*You may only have a maximum of 100 villagers. ''(Iron Farm Villagers count towards your 100 max villager count)''
**Make sure that instructions are simple, easy to find, and easy to read.

Mobs ''(Hostile and non-hostile)'':

**All returns from the farm are for the current user of the farm. This means that you cannot make nether-based zombified piglin farm and only allow the community access to the XP while keeping the gold for yourself.
* You may only have a maximum of 100 mobs of the same kind in the same base area. Exceeding this amount will result in a staff member telling you to cull the herd. Variants of mobs ''(coloured sheep, coloured llamas, etc.)'' do not count as separate kinds.
**Community farms should be in a neutral location that is not part of a personal base or area. The exception to this is on the rare occasion when we decide to turn a retired player's personal farm into a community one.

Redstone:

***If the farm requires constant monitoring and/or maintenance, then the design is not a good fit for a public farm.
*Redstone farms must have a shut off and overflow protection in place. ''(Please let a mod know of any concerns, or issues you may have.)''
*Entities:
*Make sure that loose entities are taken care of quickly and do not sit around for the full five minutes to despawn.
**If a game/community project is going to be significantly large, have a large number of entities, and/or require a significant amount of redstone, consider setting up a wholly unique area for said game/project.
*Other Comments:
**Please adhere to a limit of 100 mobs of the same kind in the same base area. Exceeding this amount will result in a staff member telling you to cull the herd. Variants of mobs ''(coloured sheep, coloured llamas, etc.)'' do not count as separate kinds. Iron Farm villagers count towards your 100 max villagers.
**If a farm is lag heavy, please consider not using it at heavy server traffic times.

**Consider not having all of your farms in one area and/or space them out enough so that they are not all loaded at once.
*No community/server-wide builds without permission of a mod.
**Light the surrounding area to ensure no unnecessary mobs spawn.

Patreon: The contents of this page apply to members of the Patreon server only.

The Patreon server is a Minecraft SMP server for Emerald and Diamond level Patreons. When ReNDoG had this server set up, his goal was to give these Patreons a "Hermitcraft-Like" experience to play in. The current server is the fifth iteration of the Diamond Emerald Patreon Server 5.

DEP Server Staff

If any issues occur, please notify one of the current active moderators on the server: 20.png sasha1nine7, 20.png OldManLP85, 20.png OrderOfLunar, or 20.png Ha_nah_nah44.

Patreon Server-specific Rules

The rules for the General Community, Discord, and Wiki (found here: Rules) apply to ReNDoG Patreon Server as well. However, the following Patreon-specific rules replace the rules from the public Dogcraft.net server.

#1 – Build and Play Respectfully.

  • Always be kind and considerate.
  • Ensure IGN and Discord Name match, to allow easy identification across platforms.
  • While griefing/stealing is prohibited, accidents can sometimes occur. Report any accidents to the owners of the build and/or moderator. (It is also required that you fix or assist in fixing it.)
  • Decorating of public areas is only to be under the instruction of a moderator. This includes spawn.
    • Players may, however, decorate their own personal builds on the spawn island.
  • Please label your nether portals, shops, and games. (So that players can communicate with you if necessary.)
  • Communicate build plans with your neighbours, (especially in community areas and shopping districts).
  • While this is an 18+ server, there are still some limits on things.
    • Sensitive topics (Politics, Religion, Nudity, etc)
      • Any discussions in chat need to remain respectful.
      • Builds promoting, denouncing, or similar about sensitive topics are prohibited, even at your own base.
  • Please be respectful of players who stream from the server and follow their rules.
  • No streaming non-DEP content from the DEP Discord.
  • No advertising of IRL charity/fundraisers/e-shops without permission of a mod.
Nether-Biome Specific rules:
    • When building in the nether, be mindful of how your build interacts and/or interferes with other player's portals and pathways to their portals. (It is best to discuss your build plans with them before starting your build.)
    • Be considerate of others when mining in the overworld and nether. (Netherite explosion mining should be done far away from Nether Spawn and player portals/base/farm areas.)
End-Biome Specific rules:
    • Please respawn the End Island’s obsidian towers when done mining them by spawning and killing a dragon. (If you spawn a dragon, you must kill it.)
    • Please do not mine endstone from the Main End Island, use the outer islands for this.
    • Do not create any farms on the Main End Island without the permission of the moderator team.

#2 – Do not grief or steal.

Stealing
  • Do not take things that are not yours.
  • Unclaimed builds and chests are no exception to this. If it’s not yours, don’t touch it.
Griefing
  • Do not change, remove or alter builds that aren’t yours without the owner’s explicit permission.
    • This includes public / communal builds (eg. Spawn, Event Areas, etc)
  • Do not damage the natural surroundings near someone’s claimed area.

#3 – No Cheating.

  • No "cheaty" client-side mods. i.e. Mods that give you an advantage over others such as an X-Ray mod/Resource Pack.
  • Litematica usage is permitted to overlay a build design on the Patron Server, however please do not use the paste command. (You must place the blocks manually.)
  • Item duplication is not allowed.
    • TNT duplication is however permitted, as it is a temporary entity that is created and cannot be kept, stored, traded, etc.

#4 –Shopping Guidelines.

  • Please familiarise yourself with the Shopping District guide, pinned in the Discord Channel #dep-server-chat.
  • If you are taking over a shop, keep the shop in the same theme/product of the original.

Server Performance Guidelines

These rules are designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable playing experience for all Diamond and Emerald Patreons.

#5 –Lag Prevention.

Iron Farms:
  • You may only have a total of 6 iron farm platforms/cells per base, defined as 3 villagers capable of spawning iron golems.
Pigman Farms:
  • Pigman farms cannot be larger than a 25x25 square with a max of 2 spawning platforms.
Wither Farms:
  • You are not allowed to use withers in farms unless it is for wither roses. You must kill the wither immediately after.
Villagers:
  • You may only have a maximum of 100 villagers. (Iron Farm Villagers count towards your 100 max villager count)
Mobs (Hostile and non-hostile):
  • You may only have a maximum of 100 mobs of the same kind in the same base area. Exceeding this amount will result in a staff member telling you to cull the herd. Variants of mobs (coloured sheep, coloured llamas, etc.) do not count as separate kinds.
Redstone:
  • Redstone farms must have a shut off and overflow protection in place. (Please let a mod know of any concerns, or issues you may have.)
  • Make sure that loose entities are taken care of quickly and do not sit around for the full five minutes to despawn.
  • Other Comments:
    • If a farm is lag heavy, please consider not using it at heavy server traffic times.
    • Consider not having all of your farms in one area and/or space them out enough so that they are not all loaded at once.
    • Light the surrounding area to ensure no unnecessary mobs spawn.
Community Farms:
  • No community/server-wide farms without permission of a mod.
    • If you want to make a farm, DM a mod on discord with the following information:
      • What kind of farm it is.
      • Where you intend on making it.
      • The basics of the design. If you are building a farm from a tutorial/litematica schematic, please provide the schematic/link to video. The submission will be reviewed and you will be told about the next steps.
  • Keep possible server lag in mind when constructing the farm. (If there is a question about lag, please review the design with a moderator.)
  • Farms, trading halls, and major redstone projects should not be placed in or around public/common areas or their portals.
  • If the farm requires (or be optimized with) a certain tool/weapon, then the tool/weapon must be provided. The tool/weapon should be named in a way that the user will be reminded to return it.
  • Provide instructions that are simple, easy to find, and easy to read.
  • All returns from the farm are for the current user of the farm. (For eg. This means that you cannot make nether-based zombified piglin farm and only allow the community access to the XP while keeping the gold for yourself.)
  • Community farms are to be in a neutral location that is not part of a personal base or area.
    • The exception to this is on the rare occasion when we decide to turn a retired player's personal farm into a community one.
  • If the farm requires constant monitoring and/or maintenance, then the design is not a good fit for a public farm.
  • AFK guidelines:
    • AFK-style farms must meet the following conditions:
      • Reachable without elytra
        • Contain a bed
      • Be 110 blocks above the lowest point of the farm. (If you are unsure, use the MiniHUD mod or ask for help from someone who knows how to use it to create a despawn sphere so that an ideal AFK spot can be marked.
      • The AFK location should also be protected from mobs
      • Include overflow protection to prevent buildup of drops/returns.
  • Any violation of the rules may result in kicking and/or banning based on the severity and circumstances of the break.
  • If you have any questions about if a farm would fit these guidelines or questions about the guidelines themselves, please contact a mod.

What happens if you leave the Patreon

* Life happens and exceptions to this rule can certainly be made. Please notify us if you need to be away for an extended time and plan to return.

#6 –Stepping away?

  • If you are away from the server for three consecutive months without notice*:
    • Your base farms may be turned off and excess entities may be removed.
    • Non-base farms (a guardian farm) may be turned off or turned into a community farm.
    • Any untouched claims (i.e. spawners/ocean temples) are revoked.
    • Player builds including personal bases, and community areas, will not be removed. (They serve as a part of the server history.)

Server Notes

  • Server Hopping: To move across the three available patreon servers, use the following commands:
    • Survival Server: /server survival
    • Creative Server: /server creative
      • Entering /server creative will take you to a creative world that is set up with the same overworld seed as the survival world.
        • The Head Database, Armor Statues, Custom Portals, and HUD Display datapacks/plugins are installed on the server.
        • Teleporting is also a feature enabled for all users as well. Just be mindful of the entities being teleported.
  • Dogcraft Patreon End City Tracker: A tool designed by 20.png Rialgar to allow for a more efficient way of raiding The End. The data supporting this is based on Chunkbase's data. As such, the data may not be completely accurate to what spawned in the game. For example, a city might be marked as existing but did not spawn. Should a player opt not to use this, it is requested that players keep track of the cities raided and mark them accordingly, after the fact, to allow for a more accurate tool.
