Greeting Cyberdogs! The bunnies have arrived on @Dogcraft and they brought along some of their egg companions with them! You guessed it, Easter has arrived on our server. This year they have brought a variety of games and activities to participate in.

Harvey the Hare is happy to present their creation. They have brought with them a quick action targeting game. If you prefer to try your targeting skills on moving targets play a round of spleef in the arena the bunnies have constructed.

The havoc caused by Harvey was not limited to just their game. In the haste of moving onto Dogcraft, the rabbits have had a few issues. It appears that the normally friendly killer bunny has stolen some treasure, leaving behind a trail of riddles. We are calling on all players to help us solve the riddle to retrieve the lost treasure.

In the commotion of the lost treasure the bunnies did not color their eggs! We can’t have that. The bunnies have provided areas through the event that you can drop off white eggs and receive a coloured egg in return.

This year Easter is packed full of things to do and see. So much so that the rabbits have filled a mountain with it all. We encourage players far and wide to come and explore the bunny burrows on streamtown. Bring a friend, BRING TWO FRIENDS. Come enjoy good times and laugh with us at /phome Easter_2025. Hey @Dogcraft ! We are delighted to announce that the SRN Station Building Competition Awards will be hosted this weekend at the following time Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

We will meet at the Transport HQ and will start by quickly touring around all the awesome competition entries before returning to the Transport HQ where winners and prizes will be announced. If you can't attend the ceremony, don't worry! We will also be posting results here afterwards.

Everyone is invited to come along and see all the builds, and have some fun! If anyone still wants to add/finish their station builds, you are now welcome to as judging has concluded.

A huge thank you to the Line Managers, the judges, the DCT and most of all, the competition entrants for making this such a fantastic and competitive event! Good luck everyone! 😄

There are a few things that had issues and we are working on it.

1) Texture pack for the server is being updated, Rencoins and plushies will not render correctly until we get it updated.

2) The mall is up and you will need to update your shops. We switched plugins for handling shops as the one we where using has been causing issues for the last year. for the next week we have removed the fee for making shops for the next week. There might still be some features needing to be setup.

3) There are a few other odd and end things that have not fully updated and we are working to get them done asap. (nothing that should effect gameplay)

Immediate Notice to Our Community: Database Security Incident

Dear Cyberdogs,

We are notifying you of a security incident that may have affected your personal information. Our investigation indicates it was likely an automated ransomware bot attack. While no data appears to have been downloaded, we cannot guarantee that it was not viewed.

What Happened:
On Feb 11, 2025 2:20 am UTC, we had attackers (bot) trying to brute force attack a database account. By 11:41 am UTC they had got in and deleted all data in the database. They left a note like what is used in bot ransom attacks. We immediately took steps to secure our network. Our team has conducted an investigation and confirmed that the following types of information could have been accessed:

Email addresses
Dates of birth
Hashed passwords (encrypted)
IP addresses used to connect to Minecraft servers
Usernames
Patreon username (If linked)
Discord usernames (If linked)

What We Have Done:
Secured Our Systems: We have removed any external logins to our servers and are now requiring all team members to use a secure VPN for access.
Password Rotation: All database passwords and logins have been changed to enhance security.
Logged Out Active Sessions on our Site: We have logged out all active user sessions to prevent unauthorized access.
Required Password Reset: Users must request a new password reset before they can log in again.
What You Need to Do:
To ensure the continued security of your account, please follow these steps:

Request a Password Reset:
Go to https://dogcraft.net/login and click on "request a password reset" or "Forgot your password"
Enter your email address/username associated with your account.
Follow the instructions in the email you receive to create a new, strong password.

Hey @Dogcraft ! We'd like to remind everyone that applications for positions on Discord Staff, Server Staff and the Creative Team are all still open!

On the Discord side, we thought we would let you know a bit more about the role you would be playing should you be chosen as a Discord Mod!

Your primary job as a Discord Moderator is to create a welcoming and friendly environment in this Discord. This is mainly done by engaging in conversations in this Discord and ensuring they are kept in line with the community rules.

We also want to specify that you don't need to play on the Dogcraft server to be able to apply for Discord Moderator, while there is a lot of crossover in the team, our primary focus is on the Discord. The team itself is a very friendly bunch (I promise most of them don't bite).

We are looking for people who are friendly and approachable. While past experience in similar roles is useful it is not necessary. The Discord Headmods will provide an overview of all the commands you will need to know and are always happy to answer questions if you have any! Discord Moderators are also welcome in our interdepartmental monthly staff meetings and are able to suggest ideas to benefit future plans for the Discord, Minecraft Server and wider community.

If you are on the fence about applying, we would recommend you do it! (Maybe a bit bias). If you have any questions about the role, both myself and @googly2002 's dm's are always open 😄

Wiki Reflections: 2024

Hello @Dogcraft, here comes the second announcement for tonight!

With 2025 starting up, in the month of February, over at the Wiki, we'd like to invite all of you to help remember and record the events of 2024 on Dogcraft! In the next month, we'll be making a push to get the wiki up to date on the last year, and to help that, we're holding a Wiki Reflections event!

To give you a helping hand, creating/editing any wiki article from now until the 1st of March will come with certain perks and count as contributions towards the Reflections event:

• 🏆 Every editor who contributes to the wiki during the event will receive a wiki user page trophy, and 5 unique book heads in-game.

We also want to liven up the wiki with more pictures, so for the first time, we're having a second set of general perks, for any editor who adds a substantial image or images to at least 3 pages:

• 📷 Every editor who adds a substantial image or images to at least 3 pages will receive the Illustrator trophy, and a unique camera head in-game.
• 📸 and the editor with the best use of images will receive the Master Illustrator trophy!

And as before, we'll have our prize categories, with winners going out at the end of the event:

• 🏅 Best Page Update - to the best update to an existing page
• 🏅 Best Event Page and Best Base Page - a double category, to the best new page about a base and the best new page about an event, with 2 winners, each receiving a unique head in-game
• 🏅 Best Historic Page - to the best new page about something on a previous Dogcraft world, so anything before Survival 6, receiving an unique head in-game

The winners for these categories will also receive an additional trophy!

🚂 Hey there @Dogcraft! The Survival Railway Network is hosting another Station Building Compeititon!

We invite all players on both Sheltie and Retriever to design and build a station. We strongly encourage people to build stations at their bases and other projects, assuming it is within 2000 blocks of existing rail lines.

Have you already built a station at your base but still want to compete? Well don't worry as we will also be assigning station plots across the SRN network!

New to this competition, we will also be running a contest for best rail line design! If you have a station you have already built but haven't connected yet, we would encourage you to enter this!

There will be exclusive prizes for the winners and each participant will receive a special banner!

Key Dates

1st February - Applications Open. Players will be assigned plots and provided with resources during this time.
7th February - Building starts
7th March - Building ends.

Judging will be carried out in the week following, with a special award ceremony to be held to announce the winners!
