Project DRT (Dogcraft Rules Translation)

To have this a bit organised I had to look up on some data. I looked at all the players that logged into the server since sur6 started. I compiled the origins (country) and came up with a list of 9 languages that could help out more players getting into our community with more ease.

Together with English that would mean people will be able to read up on the rules in 10 different languages:

  1. English
  2. Dutch
  3. German
  4. French
  5. Spanish
  6. Portuguese
  7. Russian
  8. Afrikaans
  9. Swedish
  10. Polish

If you are interested in helping out, I have compiled a list of all the Languages that need translation and need proofreading afterwords as well. I already started on the Dutch version as an example.

People will be able to comment on my translation document, but not edit. That way the translation stays with one person and suggestion can be made by others using the comment system of google docs/drive.

Be carefull when you edit the Master sheet. For now we are using it to translate the rules page (https://dogcraft.net/wiki/Rules), but if successful we could do so much more in the future to help out new players. If you are enrolling to do a translation, please fill in your name and once your google doc has been created, add the link to the table.

Same goes for people proofreading documents once they are done. If there are any questions, please, discuss in this channel. Hope we can pull this off true dogcraft style, before we even got started

Happy Translating
