Features beyond Vanilla

Dogcraft is a large public server, which requires some changes to vanilla Java Minecraft in order to balance the game and make it fun for everyone, no matter when they join in the server's lifecycle.
Mob Drops
Limited resources that are not normally renewable on single player or small worlds can quickly become very scarce or even completed denuded on a large server as many people want to use them. To preserve the landscape and make resources available to everyone, the following mobs have altered loot tables:
- Zombified Pigmen: drop glowstone and quartz crystals. Especially effective collection in the Pigfarm.
Specialty Traders
- Mall: Server store sells warp cards to Pigfarm and Endfarm.
- ********: sell shulker shells for phantom membrane and popped chorus fruit
- Azkaban: McBuffy sells player buffs at the entrance to the jail. The triangular build of Azkaban is located near Spawn. Player buffs affect everyone on the server unless they have toggled off buffs. McBuffy is invisible at night!
Mob Heads
Mob heads are obtainable as drops, and custom player heads can be purchased from Warm Gossip server store in the Mall. See Mob Heads Guide.
Homes and Warping
Players can "bookmark" locations to warp to/from within each server. Each Home creation costs a small amount of DCD. See List of Commands for instructions.
