About
Frosthold is the base of SamH3X and home to the ice boat track, Frosthold Raceway, and was a stop along a north-western branch line of the SRN. The base's construction started after he joined the Dogcraft Server at the start of Survival 6 in December 2023. The base is situated in the north-west of the Retriever, between Loch Coire and Fern Station.
Frosthold Raceway is the main attraction of the base. It is an ice boat racetrack featuring an automatic starting grid, leading into a tight ravine start, a high-speed mountain skirt, a grand dwarven gate leading into a winding cave section, a quick view of the mountain bowl before either looping back to the start or continuing on the long route which is a long sweep around the southern end of the mountain range before diverting back to the start/finish line.
History
The base began with a chest monster and some wheat fields along a pond to the north-east side of the mountain bowl soon after the server launch in December. After a month of constructing farms and general resource gathering, construction of the track began by January 24th, 2024. Construction of the track was an on and off again effort with many breaks and pauses in construction.
By May 3, 2025 an SRN station was built overlooking the mountain bowl, designed to resemble a ski lodge. During the station, opening an impromptu race was held on the recently completed Frosthold Raceway.
