The Dogcraft server has recently introduced support for Bedrock players. You can read more about that in general here.
If you have both a Java and a Bedrock minecraft account, and want to use both on the server, you will need to link them first, so your inventory and progress carries over. You are required to do this if you want to play with both accounts, otherwise you would be breaking the rule against second accounts, which could result in one, or both of your accounts being banned. Before starting the Bedrock account linking, your Java account needs to be linked with a Dogcraft.net account. While linking, be careful not to be online with both your Java and Bedrock accounts at the same time.
The steps of the linking are:
- You need to log on to the server with your Java account, and run the command
/linkaccount <gamertag>
. The gamertag is the one associated with your Bedrock (and Microsoft) accounts. - You will get a message asking you to run the same command, but with your Java playername and a code, on Bedrock. You should now log out with your Java account, and log in with your Bedrock one.
- Once you are logged in with your Bedrock account, run the command
/linkaccount <java playername> <code>
. If it was successful, the server will kick you, with the kick message saying “You are now successfully linked with <java playername>”. Progress you previously made on the server with your Bedrock account will be overwritten by progress on your Java account.
That's it, you are linked, enjoy the server!
After doing this, you will not be able to log on to the server with your Java and Bedrock accounts at the same time.
If you start playing on the server with a Bedrock account, and later link with a Java one, your progress from playing with only the Bedrock account will not carry over.
