The station was heavily inspired by the Dutch art movement called 'De Stijl', in particular by architects G. Rietveld and J.J.P. Oud, who were honoured with an armorstand. The station is built primarily out of concrete in black, white and primary colours, and features a boat dispenser into the ocean. The raillines leading up to the station also have been altered from the classic SRN rail design to fit the station. Similar concrete colours were used for these, and the usual spruce stairs were replaced by birch stairs. | The station was heavily inspired by the Dutch art movement called '[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Stijl De Stijl]', in particular by architects G. The station was originally built by _edo during the construction of the Survival 2 Mall, who was specifically invited for this instead of the South Line Manager Marbou9, as _edo was also involved in construction of the [[Spawn Station (Survival 2)|Spawn Station]] (Spawn and Mall were both official server locations). Marbou9 did build the raillines leading from Sunflower Station to Mall Station, and to Hennington Park from there. The station's official opening was at the same time as the official opening of the Mall, on January 9 2018. The station was heavily inspired by the Dutch art movement called 'De Stijl', in particular by architects G. Rietveld and J.J.P. Oud, who were honoured in the station with an armorstand. The station is built primarily out of concrete in black, white and primary colours, and features a boat dispenser into the ocean. Similar concrete colours were used for these, and the usual spruce stairs were replaced by birch stairs.
History
The station was originally built by _edo during the construction of the Survival 2 Mall, who was specifically invited for this instead of the South Line Manager Marbou9, as _edo was also involved in construction of the Spawn Station (Spawn and Mall were both official server locations). Marbou9 did build the raillines leading from Sunflower Station to Mall Station, and to Hennington Park from there. The station's official opening was at the same time as the official opening of the Mall, on January 9 2018.
