The Dogcraft server has recently introduced support for Bedrock Edition players. You can read more about that here.
If you have both a Java and a Bedrock minecraft account and want to use both on the server, you will need to link them first. This will ensure that your inventory and progress is carried between the accounts. You are required to do this if you want to play with both accounts otherwise you will be breaking the rule against second/alt accounts. Breaking this rule could result in one or both of your accounts being banned from the server.
Before starting the Bedrock account linking, your Java account needs to be linked with one on Dogcraft.net. While linking, be careful not to be online with both your Java and Bedrock accounts at the same time.
After doing this, you will not be able to log on to the server with your Java and Bedrock Edition accounts at the same time.
When linking Java and Bedrock Edition accounts, only progress made on Java carries over, Bedrock gets overwritten. This means that if you start playing on the server with a Bedrock account, and later link it to Java, your progress from the Bedrock account will not carry over.
Step 1: Log on with your Java account
You need to log on to the server with your Java Edition account, and run the command /linkaccount <gamertag>
. The gamertag is your playername from your Bedrock Edition account.
Step 2: Log out with Java and log in with Bedrock
You will get a message in chat asking you to run the same command on Bedrock, but with an extra code and your Java playername. You need to remember the code for the next step. You should now log out with Java, and log in with your Bedrock account.
Step 3: Finish linking accounts from Bedrock
Once you are logged in with your Bedrock Edition account, run the command /linkaccount <java playername> <code>
. If it was successful, the server will kick you with the kick message โYou are now successfully linked with <java playername>โ. Progress you previously made on the server with your Bedrock account will be overwritten by progress from the Java account.
That's it, you are linked, enjoy the server!
