This is a template to mark an entire page as in need of an update. For marking only a specific section, see Template:OutOfDate.
UpdateNeeded template
This template marks an entire page as out of date and requiring an update. It should generally be placed at the top of pages.
This template automatically places pages in the Category:Pages needing an update category.
Use with restraint
When possible, use Template:OutOfDate instead to mark specific sections of a page as in need of an update. Generally only mark an entire page as needing an update after a significant amount of time or a significant change or in case of a new world. For example, use it to signify if the Events page is missing all events from the latest world, and do not use it because a build or settlement has been expanded since the last time the article was edited.
