The Dogcraft website maintains two lists of [https://dogcraft.net/shop.php?a=stats richest players], ranked by DCD in pocket or by estate (total of items bought on the website). With the start of Survival 3 the DCD balance of all players was reset, however this only affected the Pocket list, while the Estate list includes purchases made previously.

Besides barter, diamonds are used as an alternative currency. This is encouraged by the server rule fixing the price of an elytra at 200 diamonds. In the past, Brianetta has attempted to stabilise the exchange rate between diamonds and DCD by establishing a bank.

Dogcraft Dollars (Ð) or DCD is the ingame currency used on the dograft server.

Usage

Dogcraft Dollars can be used to buy items and upgrades from the dogcraft website, such as additional home locations or shop upgrades. Ingame they are used with the quickshop plugin to automatically pay other players for items acquired from their store, or transferred directly to other players with the /pay command.

Acquiring

Players earn DCD for time spent on the server. The default rate is 10 DCD per hour, this is increased by serverwide boosts sponsored by players. The current boost-rate lies at about 200 DCD per hour, however due to the exponential nature of the boost system this has fluctuated widely, with a peak of 17'000 DCD early in Survival 3. As of November 2018 the only way to get boosts is by becoming a Patreon, previously boosts could also be bought for real money on the website. It is expected that this change will lead to a more stable boost-rate and in-game economy.

Historically, several other means of acquiring DCD were available. These included direct payments to Patreons, playing minigames, and accomplishing quests. Currently only quests are expected to make a return.
