Sunflower Station is comprised of two parts, underground and aboveground. The underground section, where raillines come in, is made using primarily jungle/spruce wood and various yellow blocks. The aboveground section, featuring the NTN portal among other things, is made with various wood types, has a haybale roof and features an oversized sunflower as 'elytra tower'.

History

After construction of South Station and Mall Station had finished, it became evident that the distance between the two station was too large, and as a result players were sometimes AFK kicked while riding it. Therefore, Sunflower Station was added about halfway and this makes it the only ever station to be constructed after another, further, one was.

The location was chosen for its quite pretty combination of biomes; A tiny sunflower plains in between a swamp, birch forest, roofed forest and extreme hills. This inspired the choice of using yellow blocks, and building a large sunflower in front of it. Construction of it took a long while, but was eventually completed on June 4 2018. A path connects the station to Sirocca's base, which lies in the neighboring swamp.
