Last night, I was on a resource hunt and since I can't get my elytra to activate reliably, I was using the /rtp command to jump around the server looking for different biomes and resources. (Don't judge me, I know a lot of us do it...)
Anyways, I had all my gear on me (mending picks w/ silk touch and fortune, a nice axe, sword with looting III, my elytra, decent diamond armor, etc) as well as 3 shulker boxes full or resources plus what I had in my inventory still (lots of podzol, ferns, ice, and other stuff). I did one last rtp command and it took me into a lava pool where I promptly died.
Now, I've heard this doesn't destroy your items if you use the /back command to get back to it, but since it was in lava, I knew I'd die again instantly. So I did a /home to get to my house and grab a water bucket and ender pearls, then a /back to take me to my death point. Let's just say I learned the hard way that /back takes you to the last point you warped from, and not back to your last death point as I thought it did. I have no idea where I was, and needless to say this was very frustrating, but I'll recover eventually.
It was my own dumb fault for getting greedy and using rtp to jump around, but I was wondering if I could throw this out to the admin team to give it a little more logic so that in the future, it doesn't dump you in a lava pool. I've also nearly suffocated a few times when it drops me in a 1 block high space. And 3 of 5 times, you'll land in the middle of the ocean.
Is this something that would be possible to refine?
