Tool for unclaiming land
« on: January 08, 2018, 07:06:19 pm »
I was wondering if it is possible to make sub division(s) within a claim. My reason for this is inspired by the recent swimming pool post.

If I have a large area that is my land, but want to section a part of it into public or create a town with other members having area's that are their protection, but I would still be able to edit as the claim owner.

Thank you for your time.

The command is really /subdivideclaims

Just one thing to note that could cause confusion if you make a subdivision; they inherit the permissions of the larger claim they are in. This means a player cannot take perms away with the subdivision, and not give them.

Great replies guys. Yeah I had an idea of making public parks that would have open access but only those that are actively working / living in the area would have full /trust.

Much appreciated.

here's documentation on all the commands you can use with the grief prevention plugin:
https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/grief-prevention/pages/command-and-permissions-reference

darparniox's above remarks are very true. Here are some additional remarks:
  • a player needs /accesstrust to do /sethome.
  • with /accesstrust a player can sit in boats.
  • with /containertrust a player can break boats but not place boats.
  • with /trust a player can also place boats.
  • a player needs /containertrust to sit on a skelly horse.
  • players that have /containertrust can access a beacon and change its effect.
  • a player with /permissiontrust can only grant permissions to others that (s)he has him/her self.
  • a shop chest is always only accessible by the creator/owner of that shop chest, independent of a claim that shop chest might be in.

also:
making subdivisions does not use up more claimblocks.

The town for the build comp was done with subdivisions.

They do not take up any claim blocks as long as the subdivision is within the main claim.

I actually made the town a separate claim from my base that way I could give full trusts to the people that helped me out without having to worry about my main base.
