Resource Packs for 1.11 / 1.12
« on: June 29, 2017, 11:57:36 am »
Hi all fellow Cyberpubs and Dogs !

I am looking for a well made resource pack.
I like it when it is really near on the actual design of Minecraft itself and there are not a lot of changes in it.
important for me is that normal glass in more likeable for example.

Are there any restrictions for Dogcraft?

Is Optifine 1.11.2 allowed to use?

Are any recommendations ?

Many thx in advance

regards

Optifine is allowed on the server. It normally will increase your fps substantially. As far as resource packs go I use Chromahills, it has more of a realistic look to it but it is not for everyone. It adds a lot more detail to common objects.

Hi

Here is my conclusion so far

First off all i am more than happy what i found

I use now optifine 1.11, and this real step forward !

i go through some resource packs and i landed on the version that Mumbo uses !

That are the

Faithfull pack : http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/1223254-faithful-32x32-pack-update-red-cat-clay-1-8
and the codecrfated pack : https://codecrafted.net/#19texturepack

so far i really enjoy it and it looks amazing !

I really recommand this combination!

I personally use a combination, as stated above, of Faithful and CodeCrafted texture packs. There are some good tutorials on combining the packs into one.

Faithfull pack : htps://minecraft-resourcepacks.com/faithful-32x32-resource-pack/
CodeCrafted: pack : https://codecrafted.net/

I also recommend Xisuma's Vanilla Tweaks, which just modify some of the textures, and you can pick and choose which ones you want to use.

Personally I stick with Naturus, avaliable for download here (original texture pack):
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/2362523-naturus-finally-updated-to-1-11-10-11-16-make-your

My edited version of Naturus (all credit goes to original creator):

I also use OptiFine to boost my FPS and slightly better graphics

Continuing on resource pack suggestions for anyone else who may be interested, I use a pack called Babalon which is mostly a softer take on vanilla with clear glass. I recently discovered a cool feature of the pack is diamond armor, which is translucent–character skins are still semi visible!  I also pick and mix with some others packs, subbing in a nicer (read: rounder) moon and sun, and using all the entity textures from Pixel Reality, which I maintain has some of the best mob designs ever (seriously, they're all great, villagers and husks in particular).

Oh, and one last feature I recommend. Though Radiant Pixels is rather unusual in some respects (blue Nether, blue End) and has some deviations from standard designs that make for odd combinations when viewed in vanilla, I still very much enjoy the grass and foliage color maps that are included in the pack. They make the world incredibly vibrant and add more variety to the landscape. The stand out feature is without doubt the birch forests, which are this autumnal yellow.

A downside is that I'm not sure if Babalon has been updated to 1.12, so the button to toggle the crafting menu is invisible. Otherwise, it's great. It's still 16 bit so any textures left in default mesh pretty flawlessly with the resource pack.

It's sad some  resource packs don't work anymore with Minecraft 1.12.1
