Are there any rules or guidelines for streaming and or putting together let's play videos from the server?

I post let's plays from a modpack I play, as well as from a few other games, and I would really really like to do a series on the server.  I feel like there is potential for some players not wanting to be shown, and some players might not want their builds shown, and I would also assume that advertising anywhere (including here) is off limits, as it would be similar spam to advertising shops...

Also does anyone have any other thoughts on the topic?  Like does anyone else do let's play videos from the server and would they/you like to collaborate or trade base tours?

It seems like anyone who is serious about posting videos would probably like the support of collaboration and sharing our (possibly few) fans!

Well, if my base is done, and it is allowed to make video's or streams on the server, i would be happy to show of my base.

Reading through our rules, I couldn't find something that specifically mentions LetsPlays from our server. Below, I'll tell you what I do know:

- Doing LetsPlays or streams from Dogcraft is allowed, and I've seen examples of this in the past.
- You're correct in that advertising on the server itself and on the website isn't allowed. However, if you've joined our Discord server (discord.gg/rendog), there's a channel there called '#shameless_plugs', where everyone is allowed to advertise any stream or Youtube video (but not other Discord servers!), as long as the content is PG13 (no excessive swearing, etc).
- I think quite a few players would be up for doing projects and/or tours together with you, as already demonstrated by gamerluuk above.

[Edit:] As for players not wanting to be shown in videos: If you feature other players in your videos, it would obviously be preferred to have their consent for this. If they don't want to appear in the videos, respect their wishes.
[Edit 2:] Important to remember as well, is that chat is not allowed to be turned off. So when recording or streaming, you're also required to have your chat open at all times. This rule is in place so that if a moderator asks a question, it can be expected to be answered.

Marbou9, thank you for checking for me!  I looked at the rules and didn't see anything, but I also didn't want to just jump into it without asking first.

I will definitely join the server discord, but I am pretty new to discord, so I might need some help... I might be able to figure it out too.  And I'm sure someone on there can point me in the right direction; so far everyone has been super helpful.  And I keep it pg-13, but I would say it is pg-13 sometimes.  But not videos from the server; one of my other series is a horror series that I play in an AVP modpack.  It doesn't seem overly scary or anything to me, but some people who have watched it have stopped because it was too much for them.  But I would avoid that for anything I record on the server, and I don't swear or make any references to anything I shouldn't in my videos.

I think I would avoid the spawn areas and the mall in videos, and I wouldn't include anyone unless I talk to them first, but probably only if they approach me at first; really I'm kind of shy when you get right down to it, and I wouldn't necessarily want to be derping around in the background of someone elses video without knowing, lol.

And I guess I'm not that concerned about what is going on in the chat, but if someone says something funny (and if they are okay with it) then I might call attention to it.

I'm currently working on getting my own mine and base to a good starting point, and then I will start filming the let's play videos first, and if there is ever a desire I will stream  I have the ability to, but I have always had more success with youtube so I figure I put it off until there is a desire for it.

I guess if anyone reading this wants to, or doesn't want to appear in a video on youtube, would you please let me know?  Either on here, or in game or whatever.
