After the villager crash recently, I lost a ton of villagers. Today I went to get some iron from my farm and found out one whole cell of villagers was gone. They were there when I checked the farm last week after I found out about the crash.

After finding this today, I asked in chat in-game if we needed to nametag villagers to keep them from disappearing. I was told to save villagers from the villager glitch to put them in minecrats. I asked if that works in an iron farm as well as how that would work for a breeder, but then was met with silence (not even a "gosh not sure about that" ... just nothing). So, I will ask here.

Will villagers in minecarts work in an iron farm?
How can I protect my villager breeder? (I use the Unarybit one)
What about villager farms? Will nametags protect them from this glitch or are those farms busted at this point?

After having been through several villager crashes (some unexplained thing that just happens once in a while), I have found that keeping my villagers in mine carts has saved them from magically poofing into thin air. Naming them has done no good and is a waste of a good name tag.

So if they're in carts, the iron farm will still work? That's good to know. But what about the breeders themselves? Should I just put some aside near the breeder to "re- seed" if they disapear? Or can they breed from within the minecarts?

Again, good to know that will keep them from disappearing. That does not exactly answer my questions. Will iron farms work with villagers in minecarts? Will villager breeders work with villagers in minecarts? If villagers are in minecarts, does that mean that villager farms are busted?
