nether portals and the end
« on: February 03, 2018, 08:05:15 pm »
Please forgive my Noobness!

my first question is, I built a nether portal and when i went through, i teleported into a spot that was already set up with tunnels and torches. Also, When i went through the portal to come back to the over world, i came through at this neighbors base, not mine. Is this because we are to close to each other? if so, is there anyway i can go through the portal but come out through the one i built next to my base?

My second question is about the end and also the nether. Am i right in that any and every thing close will have already been raided and i will have to travel far to find any thing worthwhile? i have only ever been to the end once, but i never killed the dragon. I would love to try again and earn an elytra, and also get some shulkers. will it be harder to achieve because it has already been done by so many others?

Thanks guys!

Its mist likely the corresponding coordinates from your over world portal would potentially spawn above either  a lava lake or somewhere a portal cannot be generated. And it has gone for the closest portal within 128 blocks in the Nether.

Your best bet is to take your over world coordinated, divide by 8. (Or simply use an online nether portal calculator if that's easier) then go through your portal and head towards those coordinates. Once at that location, build a new portal, light it and go through. Hopefully 🤞 you'll end up at your base.
