While my starter base did it's job I'm now spending all my time in my house in Wanigoora or my Ewok inspired tree house base.

So should I-

A) Just abandon it as is.
B) Remove all traces and return the area to an untouched state.
C) Abandon it and make it look the part - a few broken windows, overgrown etc.

It's not in a high traffic area so it's not in anyone's way.

Put up a "for sale" sign on the base. Who knows, maybe someone passing by wants to continue your work

Sometimes people just put up a sign saying "take what you want from this base, i dont use it anymore" - i have come across a few bases like this right next to me.

Or do what Aeghu said and put up a "for sale" sign

Maybe you could have something like a Real Estate Agency for your house. What biome is it in?

BTW your Ewok inspired house sounds cool.

I kinda like to 'ruinize' unused builds. I.e. add vines and let it overgrow, add leaves, yes break glass, add cracked stone etc. Wear it down a bit. And yes, the above suggestions can be incorporated into it (adding signs that explain, etc).

I wouldn't return the land to its old state. It's nice to see the history of the location. And  you've prolly (branch) mined extensively underground, so travellers will know that this land has been used.

Yeah, ruin it, leave a few empty chests lying around, remove your claim and put a sign like "take/use what you want"

Yep, going to ruin it a bit and put up a sign up saying it's abandoned and open for reuse. I've already unclaimed it.

I like the idea of selling but its a starter base in a plains biome so I doubt anyone would buy.

Because you don't daily use or visit a certain base doesn't mean it should be abandoned or left alone... Just like Edo says, make it look a bit overgrown, create some ambiance in the landscape to indicate you don't visit that often, but don't just abandon it. It can always be of use when you pass by in the area!
