I sent this in as a bug report, but thought everybody should know about this SEVERE PROBLEM!  The server crashed earlier and I came back on and I was dead and all my items were gone including my brand new bow that cost me 30K.  This has happened to me THREE TIMES in the past week!!!  That is OUTRAGEOUS!  Only thing that wasn't gone was my elytra which I have extras of.  To the admins pls try to fix the ridiculous problem where server crashes all the time, and stuff gets r3kd.

Postscript.  I love this server and the people on it, but I would like to just play, and not have to constantly grind to get all my stuff back that I have lost because of glitches.

well... I know that there isn't really something that they can do... but don't put stuff in ender chests they have a chance to del the items in it as well when you go to another world, I know that this cant be fixed as is minecraft and how fast the server is running. sorry that this doesn't help at all but when there is a broadcast maybe log off before you get kicked or put your items away.

A lot of the issues that cause the crashes are not always something the Mods or Matti can prevent. You are playing on a free server with 60 or more plugins running. Hundreds of things can causes crashes. All minecraft servers will crash at some point. The more players, the more plugins, the more likely some thing can go wrong. Even single player games crash from time to time.

A big issue I know of is flying during crashes and restarts. If you can, get on the ground asap when you see a reset broadcast. As for suggestions to fix, I would ask the mods to give a 1 minute AND 30 second reset warning to allow people to get on the ground or to a safe place. As it stands now there are multiple restarts with either no warning, or quick 10 second warning broadcasts. Allowing us just a few more seconds I think would help alot.
Players, please play smart. Pay attention to the chat as it scrolls and if you see a broadcast for a potential restart, get somewhere safe. Just my thoughts.

I once lost all my gear and good stuff (16 shulkers filled to the brim with stuff) because of a major crash.

It took me nearly a day to recover most of the damage. But i don't really care about the loss. Just remember this is a game and crashes can happen a lot with crowded servers. Ussualy when things like this happens and you ask arround without complaining about it there would be multiple players that can help you recover the basics to help you to get ready again.

Also if you want to make sure you dont lose a lot of stuff put everything in normal chest and avoid the usage of shulkers / enderchests. Shulkers and enderchests can get corrupted and can get lost in a crash. And try to store it in different (claimed) places.

I got a spare gear in my shulker box and on an armour stand. Soon ill put one in a normal chest to (just to be sure).

The advice to store  (spare) gear in a chest may be a good one, but remember not everybody plays  hours on end to have that many spare gear and/or items.
i`ve lost  all my items twice and I notice my pleasure to play on the server has diminished a lot  and have been on a lot less since then ; it`s not really fun to get a new set of good gear again instead of going on with what you had in mind.This can take a lot of time to get the materials/levels and such. not even mentioning losing the supplies you had on  you  if you are building...So I can fully understand the frustration of the OP, happening it 3 times in 1 week.
And it`s relatively easy to have multiple warnings before restart in scheduled tasks.

Yes, this is frustrating. On another server, 1 minute before a scheduled maintenance break, a title is broadcast telling people to secure themselves and their stuff and to disconnect ASAP so that when the server goes offline, people's stuff don't get lost.I think we should implement at least 30 seconds, because 30 seconds is just enough to /home and secure your items, and put yourself in a safe spot.

You lost stuff. It sucks. It has happened to all of us, and it will happen to all of us again! This is a free server. Everyone complains that they want this cool new thing or that cool new thing, and the powers that be do their best to accommodate us, but guess what happens? Each time we get that cool new thing, that creates another plug-in. You know what happens when we keep adding plug-ins? I mean come on! I am the most computer illiterate person I know, and even *I* know this!

If you want an advanced warning system for server restarts or whatever, yet ANOTHER plug-in, ask Matti about it. But Dom, you have been playing long enough, haven't you figured out when the scheduled restarts are? As for crashes, again, it is a FREE server. I have never in my life of on-line gaming seen a team so dedicated to server such as this.

I know it sucks to lose gear. I have come back from a crash working under my castle drown with all my very best gear gone... three different times. it sucks. But I never complained. because in the end, it is just a game.

i think the easiest thing to do would be for a staff member to put a post on the forum a few days in advance of planned maintenence saying when it's going to be, and then just no-one play on that day

We do try to let all the Cyberdogs know when the server is going to be down for maintenance. Sometimes things pop up on us though and then it's more about the admins and headMods trying their best to get the server back up as quickly as possible.

Sometimes this can cause a loss of items. As bad as it feels to lose items, please understand that we try our best to not have this loss. Sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes the matrix likes to glitch out and give you a challenge.  How you respond to that challenge is up to you.

The least Matti can do is say in chat a warning 30 seconds ahead or on discord cuz everyone can recognise the name 'Mattigins'.

When we do a restart that is planned, it's always announced in in-game chat before hand with at the very least a 30ish second warning. Unplanned restarts and crashes aren't announced, because we don't know about them... I know anytime we do a restart ourselves, there's a broadcast in chat stating so written by one of us.
